Little change to the top 10 as the only one of the countries from last month's top 10 to fail to qualify again this month was Juranabaijan (one of those in the 6-way tie for 10th, thus the top 10 now shrinks from 15 countries to 14). Continuing as they have been for some time, Hendinia's record streak marches on to 65 (70 non-consecutive), Danæviia's to 27, Neliönoir's to 22 and Kluminican Republic's to 20 making it 6 countries with a current unbroken streak of 2 years. Aeroche in 2nd place hit 30 in a row again - since BJSC 87 they have had only two DNQs in BJSCs 123 & 155, breaking what could have been a streak of 99 qualifiers into a row into three similar streaks of 36, 31 and 30 (and counting). Fljótavík make it 7 countries with an unbroken streak of at least a year, having exactly half as many in a row as the Klum Rep just above them. The Spodic Empire expand their current record streak to 8 and Dalisska make it to 6 in a row for the first time after matching their previous record of 5 in a row last month (though they'll still need another 5 in a row to beat their non-consecutive record of 10). Deandria and Scotland 2 each also expand their current records to 5.

East Rukahavian, like Dalisska, surpass their previous consecutive record that they matched last month making it to 4 in a row for the first time, now 1 away from their non-consecutive record of 5. Freidland expand their current record to 4 while Ennea and Zephyra Continuum are in back-to-back finals for the first time, the former after their first ever qualifier last month and the latter doing so automatically after their win last month which was only their second qualifier to date.

5 - the two that are there now plus FSR Rontvia (42), Cor Lupus (33) and Cumulonimbia (30). Cor Lupus and Hendinia have both also done it twice having other runs of 32 and 34 respectively.

Ok spreadsheet rejiggery didn't actually take very long so the answer is yes it has been that low and actually lower before - the bar for the top 10 was last 4 qualifiers in BJSC 157, and before that it was only 3 in BJSC 104 and only 2(!) in BJSC 73 (just before the expansion to a standard 20 qualifiers per semi). And of course technically it was 1 after BJSC 1 but that doesn't count x

The highest the bar has ever been is 12 in BJSCs 149, 150 & 177, it's historically very rare to have as many as 10 countries with double digit streaks at once (only happened in those contests, the couple just before them and in BJSCs 32 & 33 thanks to the One Big Final era as everyone who entered all of BJSCs 26-32 got 7 'qualifiers' in a row for free).

Oops thanks for reminding me I'd forgotten to acknowledge the points I did get in the semi! I did see I got your 12 and that's greatly appreciated, a nice consolation for a DNQ to have got top points from someone.

(actually I think nearly all of the others who voted for me posted in the thread already too and I reacted to those posts but thank youuu to Rich for a medal position as well - you and Cow combining for over 2/3 of my total points oop, I did hope it might attract a few more big fans than that but nevermind - and to Doctor B, Addy, dandy* and Iz for the rest of the points).

FARC also won with their 5th entry in BJSC 62 (although mind this was still a good 5 years after they debuted, as they entered 4 times under the name Kellyana Kingdom and then disappeared for years and won with their first entry under the new name). Excluding that it's Aeroche winning on their 3rd entry in BJSC 46 (one month after Ingermanlandia doing the same funnily enough).

How much time did Lookylion spend before winning? I vaguely recall it being quite fast.

Lookylion's first win was their 13th entry!
