Yesterday at 16:501 day Apols for lateness again but at least done before the final results this time Qualification streak update (underlined nations have matched or beaten their longest streak to date, streaks that are longer when counting non-consecutive participations are in italics where applicable): 01 65 Hendinia (non-consecutive: 70) 02 30 Aeroche 03 27 Danæviia 04 22 Neliönoir 05 21 Cor Lupus 06 20 Kluminican Republic 07 10 Fljótavík 08 8 The Spodic Empire 09 6 Dalisska 10 5 Baleghde 10 5 Bøtanikkä (non-consecutive: 6) * 10 5 Deandria 10 5 Scotland 2 10 5 Trifoski 15 4 Altyr Muunilinst 15 4 East Rukahavian 15 4 Freidland 18 3 Bronzil 18 3 Jadakissnia 18 3 Pestolia 18 3 République d'Áskorza 18 3 Séyetana 18 3 Skall 18 3 Terra Avium 25 2 Aelandor 25 2 Dobago 25 2 Elëdan 25 2 Ennea 25 2 Flynnonda 25 2 Kathaldazia 25 2 Land of DW 25 2 Sovarasma 25 2 Zephyra Continuum 34 1 Ajanaeda 34 1 Cheiron 34 1 Greenfroze 34 1 Herbilore 34 1 Jupiterdonia 34 1 N DNTN 34 1 Summericia 34 1 Zanmatony xx (4) Juranabaijan xx (3) Lentyll xx (3) Ojnoj xx (3) Persephonia xx (2) A-Konohagakure xx (1) Pagasa xx (1) Utopia (non-consecutive: 3) ** xx (1) Yehesi* Bøtanikkä's mid-contest withdrawal from BJSC 180 is not counted as a DNQ for the purposes of this list** did not enter this contest so may resume a non-consecutive streak in the futureLittle change to the top 10 as the only one of the countries from last month's top 10 to fail to qualify again this month was Juranabaijan (one of those in the 6-way tie for 10th, thus the top 10 now shrinks from 15 countries to 14). Continuing as they have been for some time, Hendinia's record streak marches on to 65 (70 non-consecutive), Danæviia's to 27, Neliönoir's to 22 and Kluminican Republic's to 20 making it 6 countries with a current unbroken streak of 2 years. Aeroche in 2nd place hit 30 in a row again - since BJSC 87 they have had only two DNQs in BJSCs 123 & 155, breaking what could have been a streak of 99 qualifiers into a row into three similar streaks of 36, 31 and 30 (and counting). Fljótavík make it 7 countries with an unbroken streak of at least a year, having exactly half as many in a row as the Klum Rep just above them. The Spodic Empire expand their current record streak to 8 and Dalisska make it to 6 in a row for the first time after matching their previous record of 5 in a row last month (though they'll still need another 5 in a row to beat their non-consecutive record of 10). Deandria and Scotland 2 each also expand their current records to 5.East Rukahavian, like Dalisska, surpass their previous consecutive record that they matched last month making it to 4 in a row for the first time, now 1 away from their non-consecutive record of 5. Freidland expand their current record to 4 while Ennea and Zephyra Continuum are in back-to-back finals for the first time, the former after their first ever qualifier last month and the latter doing so automatically after their win last month which was only their second qualifier to date.

I meant to check before if it had ever been that low but I'll need to do some spreadsheet rejiggery first xJust now, danG said:how many countries have had 30 unbroken qs5 - the two that are there now plus FSR Rontvia (42), Cor Lupus (33) and Cumulonimbia (30). Cor Lupus and Hendinia have both also done it twice having other runs of 32 and 34 respectively.

I meant to check before if it had ever been that low but I'll need to do some spreadsheet rejiggery first xOk spreadsheet rejiggery didn't actually take very long so the answer is yes it has been that low and actually lower before - the bar for the top 10 was last 4 qualifiers in BJSC 157, and before that it was only 3 in BJSC 104 and only 2(!) in BJSC 73 (just before the expansion to a standard 20 qualifiers per semi). And of course technically it was 1 after BJSC 1 but that doesn't count xThe highest the bar has ever been is 12 in BJSCs 149, 150 & 177, it's historically very rare to have as many as 10 countries with double digit streaks at once (only happened in those contests, the couple just before them and in BJSCs 32 & 33 thanks to the One Big Final era as everyone who entered all of BJSCs 26-32 got 7 'qualifiers' in a row for free).data dump if anyone is interested xContest / Consecutive qualifiers needed to be top 10 in the streak listBJSC 1 / 1BJSC 2 / 2BJSC 3 / 3BJSC 4 / 4BJSC 5 / 5BJSC 6 / 5BJSC 7 / 5BJSC 8 / 3BJSC 9 / 3BJSC 10 / 3BJSC 11 / 4BJSC 12 / 4BJSC 13 / 4BJSC 14 / 4BJSC 15 / 4BJSC 16 / 4BJSC 17 / 4BJSC 18 / 3BJSC 19 / 2BJSC 20 / 3BJSC 21 / 4BJSC 22 / 4BJSC 23 / 4BJSC 24 / 4BJSC 25 / 5BJSC 26 / 6BJSC 27 / 7BJSC 28 / 7BJSC 29 / 8BJSC 30 / 8BJSC 31 / 9BJSC 32 / 10BJSC 33 / 10BJSC 34 / 9BJSC 35 / 3BJSC 36 / 3BJSC 37 / 3BJSC 38 / 3BJSC 39 / 4BJSC 40 / 3BJSC 41 / 4BJSC 42 / 5BJSC 43 / 4BJSC 44 / 4BJSC 45 / 3BJSC 46 / 4BJSC 47 / 4BJSC 48 / 4BJSC 49 / 4BJSC 50 / 5BJSC 51 / 4BJSC 52 / 4BJSC 53 / 4BJSC 54 / 3BJSC 55 / 3BJSC 56 / 4BJSC 57 / 4BJSC 58 / 4BJSC 59 / 3BJSC 60 / 3BJSC 61 / 4BJSC 62 / 3BJSC 63 / 3BJSC 64 / 4BJSC 65 / 3BJSC 66 / 4BJSC 67 / 4BJSC 68 / 3BJSC 69 / 3BJSC 70 / 3BJSC 71 / 4BJSC 72 / 2BJSC 73 / 2BJSC 74 / 3BJSC 75 / 4BJSC 76 / 4BJSC 77 / 4BJSC 78 / 4BJSC 79 / 4BJSC 80 / 5BJSC 81 / 4BJSC 82 / 4BJSC 83 / 4BJSC 84 / 4BJSC 85 / 5BJSC 86 / 5BJSC 87 / 5BJSC 88 / 4BJSC 89 / 4BJSC 90 / 4BJSC 91 / 5BJSC 92 / 5BJSC 93 / 5BJSC 94 / 5BJSC 95 / 6BJSC 96 / 5BJSC 97 / 5BJSC 98 / 4BJSC 99 / 4BJSC 100 / 4BJSC 101 / 4BJSC 102 / 4BJSC 103 / 4BJSC 104 / 3BJSC 105 / 4BJSC 106 / 4BJSC 107 / 5BJSC 108 / 6BJSC 109 / 6BJSC 110 / 5BJSC 111 / 5BJSC 112 / 4BJSC 113 / 4BJSC 114 / 4BJSC 115 / 5BJSC 116 / 6BJSC 117 / 5BJSC 118 / 5BJSC 119 / 5BJSC 120 / 4BJSC 121 / 5BJSC 122 / 5BJSC 123 / 5BJSC 124 / 4BJSC 125 / 5BJSC 126 / 5BJSC 127 / 6BJSC 128 / 7BJSC 129 / 5BJSC 130 / 5BJSC 131 / 4BJSC 132 / 4BJSC 133 / 4BJSC 134 / 4BJSC 135 / 5BJSC 136 / 5BJSC 137 / 4BJSC 138 / 5BJSC 139 / 6BJSC 140 / 6BJSC 141 / 6BJSC 142 / 7BJSC 143 / 7BJSC 144 / 7BJSC 145 / 8BJSC 146 / 9BJSC 147 / 10BJSC 148 / 11BJSC 149 / 12BJSC 150 / 12BJSC 151 / 9BJSC 152 / 5BJSC 153 / 5BJSC 154 / 5BJSC 155 / 6BJSC 156 / 5BJSC 157 / 4BJSC 158 / 5BJSC 159 / 6BJSC 160 / 5BJSC 161 / 5BJSC 162 / 5BJSC 163 / 6BJSC 164 / 7BJSC 165 / 5BJSC 166 / 6BJSC 167 / 7BJSC 168 / 8BJSC 169 / 9BJSC 170 / 8BJSC 171 / 7BJSC 172 / 8BJSC 173 / 9BJSC 174 / 9BJSC 175 / 10BJSC 176 / 11BJSC 177 / 12BJSC 178 / 8BJSC 179 / 9BJSC 180 / 8BJSC 181 / 8BJSC 182 / 8BJSC 183 / 6BJSC 184 / 4BJSC 185 / 5

I did see I got your 12 and that's greatly appreciated, a nice consolation for a DNQ to have got top points from someone.(actually I think nearly all of the others who voted for me posted in the thread already too and I reacted to those posts but thank youuu to Rich for a medal position as well - you and Cow combining for over 2/3 of my total points oop, I did hope it might attract a few more big fans than that but nevermind - and to Doctor B, Addy, dandy* and Iz for the rest of the points).
2 hours ago2 hr I forgot to ask this at the time but Zephrya Continuum's victory is the quickest a new country has won since when?
2 hours ago2 hr 2 minutes ago, Dobbo said:I forgot to ask this at the time but Zephya Continuum's victory is the quickest a new country has won since when?FARC also won with their 5th entry in BJSC 62 (although mind this was still a good 5 years after they debuted, as they entered 4 times under the name Kellyana Kingdom and then disappeared for years and won with their first entry under the new name). Excluding that it's Aeroche winning on their 3rd entry in BJSC 46 (one month after Ingermanlandia doing the same funnily enough).
42 minutes ago42 min How much time did Lookylion spend before winning? I vaguely recall it being quite fast.
40 minutes ago40 min Lookylion's first win was their 13th entry!(Hushkanukia iconically won with their 6th entry after the first 5 all DNQed x)
