Even if the Fleetwood Mac songs had still been on ACR, they wouldn't feature - 'Dreams' at #38 is nowhere near its 2020 peak of #24, and 'Everywhere' at #43 is still short of its 2024 peak of #38. Both songs were actually higher 7 weeks ago ('Dreams' #30; 'Everywhere' #42) than they are now.

May 30May 30 I think a rule adjustment is due. As much as I love seeing older hits getting recognition, the charts are starting to feel quite stale.A good fix would be to only allow songs older than a year to re-enter the chart if they're experiencing a genuine resurgence. That way, the chart would still reflect what's popular right now (such as Kate Bush previously, and now The Chemical Brothers), while removing the long-term floaters lingering at the lower end of the chart simply accumulating weeks.It would keep the chart current and give fresh releases a better chance to gain traction.
