July 4Jul 4 Author Herve Renard has stepped down as manager of Tunisia.He was appointed on June 16 during the World Cup after Sabri Lamouchi was dismissed.It was his third World Cup as manager with a third different team after Morocco in 2018 and Saudi Arabia in 2022.Tunisia failed to make it out of Group F – losing all three of their games.

July 10Jul 10 Brazil's position at the top of the all time World Cup rankings is under threat. Since 1994 they've had the outright most number of tournament wins however the teams behind them are catching up fast and the way things are looking they will probably be overtaken in the next 10-20 years and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't win another World Cup during that time.

Okay we have Haaland, Bellingham and Olise in the current generation alongside with Yamal, but it's interesting there's not really been a new player to really stamp their authority on the tournament.

One of the worlds best isn’t represented as well as Georgia Didbt qualify. Think it’s fair to say already that the increase in teams has been a success.
