I heard about this a few weeks ago. If they're going to do this it would make more sense for it to be prior to kick off, it could have been part of the closing ceremony which could have made that itself feel more special. Doing this in the middle of the match could ruin the big match atmosphere and for the players it will just add to the nerves that they will be feeling.

Imagine what it would be like for the players and fans of a team that is going into half time with a deficit to overcome in the biggest match in World football, how are they possibly going to enjoy this? I hope the World Cup never goes to America again tbh, it's only the action on the pitch that has carried the tournament imo.

Eh I think the players will be fine with it, probably couldn't care less. Will take the extra 10 minutes break! Fans should rightfully be fuming though, hopefully we hear some audible boos before and after.

Of course pre-show would make much more sense but it's ALL about money and more eyeballs will be watching at half time.

USA pretty much have it locked in for 2038 it seems which is depressing. Saudi Arabia and USA back to back :/ still can't believe South America folded like a deck of cards in accepting 3 measly matches for 2030.

The half-time break in Sunday's World Cup final is expected to last between 20 and 25 minutes. Turns out that BBC and ITV will be showing the half time show after all.

The Laws of the game state that the half-time break is a maximum of 15 minutes. Therefore, FIFA have unilaterally decided that that Law doesn't count if ignoring it provides a way of making more money. It means that the match will go beyond 22:00, even if there is no "real" stoppage time.

Half time is 15 mins for a reason though, any longer and the players may not be ready for the second half.
