Yeh they punch above their weight every era and fair play to them.

Love big World Cup games - lovely and warm weather, long evenings, everything at stake, always drama - but role on the knockouts!!

I do NOT have a good feeling about this game in the slightest.

I have no idea what our starting 11 will actually be because he hasn't used the most recent friendlies to showcase what he thinks would be a strong core for us but having them together.

Also, I get that managers still want to win and they are building their own profile by getting those results but honestly, how motivated can a German manager truly be for driving England to a World Cup win? lol

Oh and that referee can be shocking. He loves to blow a whistle for... nothing really. Like the game won't be slow paced enough being split into quarters grrr

What I'll say now is be prepared that there is 100% chance that England will drop points in at least one game. We've never scored 9 out of 9 in any WC ever and realistically this game is the most likely it'll happen in.

A draw isn't the worst thing in the world, but I think we'll beat Croatia. Things seem a lot happier in the camp this time around and it's pretty clear outside of the Bellingham/Rogers issue, if everyone is fit out first XI is pretty clear and very balanced.
