I’d like both to go through. Egypt for Salah and hope he breaks the goal record of his coach and because Iran have been treated horrendously by the US government in and out of the tournament.

Both matches really interesting, I can see New Zealand causing an upset after doing well in their previous two matches and Belgium being underwhelming and the Egypt - Iran match could go either way if Iran defend well.

Wait no, offside! Oh the drama!

What drama at the end of that Egypt Iran game.

Iran had a goal ruled out and then hit the crossbar in the last 3 minutes of added time when it would have saw them in the knock-outs for the first time. The offside was literally be a tie as well. Now they need to wait and see. They would need all three groups to against them tomorrow for them not to make it.

I was wanting Iran to win in the end as that's who Australia would've played. Iran defeated Australia on away goals in 1997 to book their place in the 1998 World Cup. So it would've been nice to get the chance for some belated revenge.

Now Australia will play Egypt.

Crazy finish to the Egypt Vs Iran match! This is another of those situations where the change in format could save Iran because that goal being ruled out for offside in stoppage time would have literally been the difference between one team going home (Egypt) and another staying in the competition (Iran). Instead it's Egypt who are the ones who finish with 5 points and in 2nd place.
