New comedy starring Diane Morgan and Sue Johnston is coming next month!

And no, Doctor Who fans, it’s not what we would want it to be cheeseblock

  • Great series, I binged it all the day it came out.

Watched the first two episodes this morning. I was a bit hesitant at first but once Ann/Linda came along and it gets properly going, it was fairly decent.

It’s kinda slapstick silly and really quite stupid, but i found myself lolling a fair few times so i suppose ill see it through to the end 😂

I really enjoyed this. There are a few bits that made me laugh, but largely I just really enjoyed the feel of it.

I've watched the first few episodes of this and I am loving it. Quite a few actual laugh out loud moments but it's also such a fun and somewhat silly show. It doesn't try to be serious. The bit on the rollercoaster had me howling! 😂

The weakest part of the series for me was how much focus was given to Michael/Renee, both pretty unlikeable characters all round with no redeeming qualities. Would've much preferred more time spent seeing Linda and Sue getting up to god knows what lmao.

They've cast Paul Ready in this in a very similar way to his character in Motherland, i.e. a bit of a pushover. It's interesting that we have him and Diane Morgan in this while three other Motherland cast members are now in Amandaland. The cast has split off but various members are still working together.

However, where I loved Kevin in Motherland (despite being a similar character in some ways he was more likeable in his desperation to fit in and bounced off the other cast better), I agree that Michael doesn't add a lot to this show other than a plot device of having a son. Diane Morgan and Sue Johnston are wonderful in it, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much but they're both such talents that maybe it was hard for it to miss. Sue! Sue! Sue! made me laugh every time.

I thought this was absolutely awful, struggled to get through 2 episodes, maybe it just wasn’t my thing but didn’t enjoy it at all

I enjoyed this quite a bit, Diane Morgan can read a whole page of terms and conditions and I'd laugh so that helps, but she's on really unique form here and Sue Johnston gives them a lot to work with. I enjoyed the older side characters, but agree Michael and Renee didn't really add much apart from being really unlikeable and not very interesting to watch, and I saw both their eventual endpoints predictable.

A terrible storyline but when you have great actors of the calibre of Johnston and Morgan it thoroughly makes up for it.

Well I've finished this and I absolutely loved it, Diane Morgan and Sue Johnson are brilliant in it. In fact the whole cast except for the characters of Michael and Renee were brilliant.

I agree with comments about Michael and Renee just being very unlikable, I found Michael's character to be so selfish and annoying, could have done without his scenes to be honest.

Hoping for a series two, with more focus on just Linda and Sue and their adventures rather than Michael (although I get the feeling the Ro-Robot will feature in the next one and could be quite comical with Michael.

In even better news Philomena Cunk is coming back! 😍 Honestly Diane Morgan is comic genuis!
