I know the WC has been expanded, but 2 semis in the 20th century, '66 and '90, and then two semis in what we have done of the 21st, within 8 years of each other, it's an actual incredible improvement. Whether we win or not, we've been legitimately muscling our way into the top-tier teams over the last decade (as opposed to, in the anti-England narratives, a second-tier team that got lucky once) and it's wonderful to see.

Whew, well that was always going to be a tough game, honestly Norway looked better and more deserving for most of the second half, but England came back a bit stronger in extra time and Bellingham did some absolute wonderwork there, definitely need to do better in the Semis though especially if it is Argentina, let's hope the side that played Mexico shows up for that!

I'd have never thought both Kane and Haaland wouldn't score there! (a real shame the latter couldn't play the full time, but I'm sure he's going to be doing great things for them going forward)

Absolutely great atmosphere at the pub I watched the game. Very tense but exciting game despite the conditions. Over the moon to get that over the line before penalties, Norway pushed us all the way but Jude stepped up YET AGAIN, what a legend.

Tuchel doing what Southgate did getting to a Semi in his first tournament. Let's go at least one better this time!

And in reality the “golden generation” should have done much better too. Outside of 2014, we’ve been consistent for a while and had lots of luck go against us. For everything that gets said against 2010, if that Lampard goal gets correctly given then I think it’s a different game.

Semi final is above anything than what I was expecting. Let’s see what happens.
