Argentina seemed to come alive as soon as they were trailing

They've played well this second half - I mean they're dicks. But they have backed it up this second half

Good grief. But Argentina have been absolutely dominant in the last 30 minutes, it definitely wasn't unexpected.

They are the kings of the comeback.

It's a lot easier to take losing if you feel like you didn't actually deserve to win the match (in the assumption that the unlikely event of them levelling occurs!) - and that's the case here really. They've done well to get this far but to my untrained eye they've looked like they've struggled a lot today.

Why do we never learn - Croatia 2018, Italy 2021, tonight, always the same after we go ahead - give them most of the pitch and time on the ball and the best teams will find a way through.

We have been so lucky to get this far with the way we've been playing so not suprised we didn't make it all the way.

I never want to hear anyone ever criticise Southgate again for being ‘defensive’.

Tuchel has been 100x worse and has thrown away any chance we had.

When Rice went off and Burn came on that felt inevitable.

To be honest we could have won and people would still be picking holes in their performance.

It’s going home
