Rein Me In is number 1 because of streaming playlists. If you press play on a playlist that Rein Me In is on, that’s the first song it’ll play. Why stream Rein Me In when you can just put the radio on and it gets played on the radio

It really isnt unless you scroll down the playlists and start from there

The shakira song is literally higher on 5 out of 6 playlists listed earlier 🤔

Amazing for Shakira, so good to see her getting a big hit - not surprised it’s had such a big boost it was basically played on repeat during the trophy lift at the World Cup 🤣

It was played throughout the tournament before each kickoff

Talk to You was boosted by a World Cup related viral video I believe, but it's not directly linked to the World Cup like Three Lions so I expect it'll hang around as usual, it's not really fallen much.

Amazing for Shakira to have jumped up so much on Spotify!! Could be looking at an official #2 position this week perhaps?

Yeh, it’s just moved it up a level going viral and the decent playlisting should hold it steady before a slow decline.

Why do you think it gets to decent positions in all the said playlists?

The way you just make things up and try to present them as fact.

Says the person who thinks that Last Christmas only gets number 1 because of streaming platforms

It's not in the top 50 airplay chart anymore. If anything I haven't heard Rein Me In that much on the radio while it's been No.1, I heard it far more last year when it was first released or in the lower end of the top ten and actually playlisted by the major stations. I would wager that the fact it is not overplayed on radio is helping keep its streaming profile so high as people like it and are still seeking it out.

Shakira coming to stop Rein Me In?

That would be great but at this point I don't think anything can #reinreinmeinin

Sadly I think it'll be too late this week unless it's pulled ahead significantly on Spotify tomorrow, and I don't know how long the boost will last as to whether it would have a chance next week, but still exciting to see Shakira getting such a big hit!

So Dai Dai is no.1 on YouTube with 798 streams, iTunes, + Apple on last update. Only Spotify holding it back. Surely its at 2 tomorrow at the very least

Dai Dai is no1 on Apples biggest playlist now @Hadji

I just seen and I was expecting it to fall now the World Cup is over

Remember 'Rein Me In' is still further ahead than it looks because of the edit version. I think Shakira is still probably a way off contending for #1. (Maybe I was wrong about her falling off post World Cup though if she's still rising on Apple).

I don't particularly love the song but I'm not opposed to the idea of Shakira getting a surprise new #1. Just should have been with the Bizarrap session. At least this one is better than 'Zoo' x

🤣🤣🤣

I guess everyone is just skipping past all the tracks ahead of it then on every playlist?

Just because you make things up in your head it dosent make it fact - every post is continually trying to drag down the song and its success its exhausting, we all understand you hate the song and the singers and are absolutely LIVID at its success.

They are not even that high on the big playlists and Shakira, Ariana etc., are ahead of them on most playlists but behind them in the official charts so your point is unfounded.

I don't think it'll be enough, especially this late in the week.

I wonder if it'll be as big as 'Waka Waka' in the long run?

I hate Last Christmas but I’d rather that broke the record which it will eventually

The algorithm will be pushing it now 🤣

Really not a fan of Dai Dai but I’m beyond tired of Rein Me In (despite still adoring it) & it would be absolutely insane to have Shakira at #1 in 2026 so I’m throwing my support behind it, lol

Along with David Guetta/Andrea Bocelli/Megan Thee Stallion - More Than A Game but it didn't do anything on streaming lol!

if Dai Dai is number 1 this week it'll be Shakira's first in 19 years
