She did with Believe Me Now? towards the release too. I think we got Right Here, True Colours & Multiply all within a month of each other; the latter 2 being 5 days apart!!

The songs fine I guess. Perfectly pleasant but nothing overly amazing 🤷🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately I also can’t say I’m very impressed. Definitely the worst single so far, the build up is amazing but then the drop sucks, and is literally different to the snippet that was teased for over a month!! I am PRAYING this is Becky’s last album with that horrible excuse of a label because WOW this rollout is an absolute car crash :(

Not convinced this is an entirely Polydor issue this time - Becky has said this is the album she wanted to make, there’s been budget spent on videos, various formats and bundles for the album etc.,

I think it’s more a case of the music being ‘good’ rather than anything amazing so far to grab the GPs attention. (Also from comments online it feels as if people perceive her as not very likable - the viral video of her getting boo’d didn’t help even though we know that wasn’t the full story!).

For starters the album has been silently delayed to November 13th with no official announcement, the lead single was teased for FOUR months before they let her release it and only one single has actually dropped on a Friday. You cannot tell me this has not been a cursed rollout from the very beginning and it’s shocking to see

I think the album has probably been delayed due to no hits being produced even with some playlist support and I’m assuming not the best pre-orders either - her last album wasn’t a rip roaring success so this one needed a hit or two to get this era off the ground.

I’m not convinced releasing on a Thursday/Friday would’ve made any difference to any of the tracks making the Top 100.

I’ve been super confused by which track is actually being pushed though - it feels as though they and Becky are throwing out something to hopefully be a hit before album launch as they know streaming will be a huge factor in making the album have any sort of longevity.

However, all of the above I think compounds how difficult it is for artists now unless they have a super stan fanbase. If you’re not going viral on TikTok opportunities for hits or exposure seem limited.

The problem is what do I have to do? went really viral on tiktok, but barely dented the streams :( Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be seeing her much in the charts anymore anyway, she’s been in the game for 14 years now so it’s crazy she did as well as she did for that long meaning I’m still not overly shocked about the underperformance. However I don’t think this rollout has helped things, Lost The Plot had a lot of genuine hype around it & was meant to be the lead single; Becky has confirmed now it’s only an album track!! I’m just disappointed to be honest, it doesn’t help I am saying this as a massive fan so I’m a bit defensive 😭
