Biography

When RAYE speaks of her music, she doesn’t just talk of songs but of “stories”. And the South London singer-songwriter (born Rachel Agatha Keen in 1997) has quite the knack for writing them. RAYE first broke through in 2014 with debut EP Welcome to the Winter, followed by the Stormzy-featuring Second EP two years later. But despite singles and collaborations with Stefflon Don, Mr Eazi and Jax Jones, plus credits on songs by artists such as Beyoncé, Ellie Goulding, Little Mix and John Legend, RAYE felt trapped behind the scenes. In 2021, the singer-songwriter wrote on social media that she hadn’t been “allowed” to release her debut album and that she was “sick of being slept on” by her label. As an independent artist, she then released her viral smash “Escapism.” featuring 070 Shake, which sounded little like anything RAYE had released before—and not a lot like anything else on the charts at the time. Her long-yearned-for debut My 21st Century Blues arrived in 2023, housing unflinching honesty and everything from cinematic pop to dancehall, gospel and hypnotic dance. “This is about me telling the stories I want to tell, in the order I want to tell them, through the sonic landscape I want to tell them,” RAYE told Apple Music. In 2024, RAYE made history at the BRIT Awards, winning the most awards ever by an artist in one night. She also landed a credit on Beyoncé’s 2024 album COWBOY CARTER and was tapped by Taylor Swift that year to perform on The Eras Tour. In 2026, she released her second album THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE., which brought collaborations with Hans Zimmer (“Click Clack Symphony.”) and Al Green (“Goodbye Henry.”), as well as the huge hit “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”. - Apple Music

Biography

When it comes to growing up in public, the King of Pop wrote the book. Born in Gary, Indiana, in 1958, Michael Jackson became the biggest-selling singer on the planet, but when he started his career, he was just a kid trying to catch up with his big brothers. The Jackson 5, which Michael joined in 1964 when he was just six, became a Motown hit machine in 1970. But Michael’s undeniable vocal charisma made a solo career inevitable—and his began in 1971. After a few major early hits, he exploded with 1979’s Off the Wall, a funk-pop-disco marvel that marked Jackson’s full musical maturation. Its 1982 follow-up, Thriller, became an international phenomenon with mega-singles including “Billie Jean”, “Beat It” and the unmistakable title track. It became the best-selling album in history, and in 2024, it was also named the No. 2 best album of all time on the Apple Music 100 Best Albums list. Following that wasn’t easy. Still, 1987’s Bad—made again with Quincy Jones—spawned a history-making five consecutive No. 1 singles, including “Man in the Mirror”, “The Way You Make Me Feel” and “Dirty Diana”. Dangerous, released in 1991, found Jackson embracing new jack swing alongside pop and R&B, along with more socially conscious lyricism, while 1995 brought double album HIStory - PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE - BOOK I. His final studio album, 2001’s Invincible, arrived as his personal life grew increasingly turbulent. Michael, a biopic focusing on Jackson’s early life, premiered in 2026. - Apple Music

Shame click clack sympathy or anything else didnt stick as long 🥲

I've noticed that with both of her studio albums, the lead single tends to be a big #1 hit. Whereas, the other songs don't stick long.

Biography

A sensitive troubadour for the age of social media, Sombr places equal emphasis on sound and soul-baring lyrics. "Caroline," the viral hit that helped the singer/songwriter escalate from indie status to a major label while he was still in his teens, relied on cinematic vistas and rolling harmonies as much as his dramatic vocals. By the time he released the EP In Another Life in 2023, Sombr was collaborating with Tony Berg -- a producer known for his work with Phoebe Bridgers and Michael Penn -- and opening up his music in ways he continued to explore on the 2024 single "In Your Arms" and his 2025 Top 40 hit "Undressed." After landing another Top 40 hit with "Back to Friends," he made his full-length debut in 2025 with the breakup-themed I Barely Know Her. - Apple Music

Nice to see this still having chart life. Never got why Potential fell off so quickly.

I'm glad My Body Isn't Ready is back in, showing signs of taking off on a bigger scale hopefully?

Still utterly perplexed about Homewrecker's sudden drop though (assuming it's not been rectified and it's still to come)

Biography

While Audrey Hobert grew up in a show business family, it was a collaboration with another well-connected, rising singer that has helped gain attention for her singer/songwriter skills. With childhood friend Gracie Abrams, Hobert helped pen several songs on Abrams' 2024 breakthrough The Secret of Us, striking gold with the worldwide hit "That's So True." That collaboration drew attention to her own quirky confessional pop, featured on her 2025 debut album, Who's the Clown?, and its viral single "Sue Me." - Apple Music

It'll be interesting if My Body Isn't Ready can improve on its previous peak, wonder where the second wind has come from.

Edited by gasman449

I think it's just Do Not Read This Journal may not live up to familiarity of I Barely Knew Her as an album..

Jack said Audrey was 28 but played the 29 jingle?
