Despite being on ACR, Rein Me In should still break the record for most consecutive top 10 weeks this Friday with 36

OK, I'm starting to think 'Jolene' has a chance of making it through the week now!

or not as 9 to 5 is seemingly outdoing it (albeit based on the only half good data that is the first look update)

I think we are all quite shocked that ‘9 to 5’ is Number One and not ‘Jolene’ 😂

I guess maybe there are multiple versions of ‘9 to 5’ that are not lumped together on streaming?

Great for Dolly, hoping she holds onto #1! What platforms are causing 9 to 5 to start ahead of Jolene?

Ultra Nate to take the #1 spot on Friday, happy days.

No. Please no.

Will be streaming Dolly HARD for the rest of the week. That and Boston, anything but Hugel.

Would have loved it to be Ella though.

not sure tbh, 9 To 5's ahead only on YouTube whereas Jolene's ahead everywhere else - I'd guess they must be quite close and'll probably swap during the week.

Official Charts Report

After the sad news of her death this week, Dolly Parton could claim her first-ever Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with 9 to 5.

The evergreen anthem secured a brand-new peak on Friday, flying up to Number 12 following a 350% week-on-week increase. But the well-loved song is set to obliterate that accolade and rightfully crown the country great with her maiden, and long overdue chart-topper.

And that’s not all. Her 1976 classic Jolene currently sits at Number 2, while Kenny Rogers team-up on Islands In the Stream sees itself flow to Number 6 in this latest update.

The poignant moment, if it arrives, would stand as a collective tribute to a towering artist whose music will continue to echo across generations and beyond.

Elsewhere, and following the release of his second LP WILDCHILD, Alex Warren could see both CRY WOLF (21) and EMERALD EYES (23) enter the Top 40 as new entries.

There is set be a re-entry for Dua Lipa’s Training Season following the release of her EP Training Season’s Over, featuring multiple live versions of the beloved tune (36).

Olivia Rodrigo’s powerful, political track serena joy, named after The Handmaid’s Tale character, could break the main standings (39).

There may also be a first Top 20 placement for Audrey Hobert and Sue Me, which is forecast to rise one position (20), as Noah Kahan’s Orbiter eyes a fresh peak (30).

I’ll be streaming Dolly all week! We’ve got this

"Jolene" is doing better on Spotify so likely ahead of "9 to 5" when taking that into account.

If I remember right there are a bunch of versions of both songs on Amazon so it's likely both are doing quite well there. Plus doing well on YouTube but I don't think kworb captures all YouTube streams from other versions/live versions that may count towards the chart too.

Either way excited to see Dolly top 2 and hope there's a mini boost/media coverage to help Dolly get to #1 come Friday.

Happy for either Dolly song to take the number 1 this week.

I wonder will she do the double.

Alex Warrens the biggest new release but I don’t think it’s doing that well on streams so it depends on the pre orders and sales they do over the week.
