Independently of Ellie's situation with her management and label, this is a huge disappointment and this is on the verge to miss the Top 20 as you said.

Then again, everyone is, has everyone suddenly stopped listening to/buying music recently?
Monday at 17:331 day I know it was an anniversary edition but i thought Beyoncé would’ve been higher on the Monday update at least?! I’m not too shocked at Ellie as of yet. She did drop a deluxe today so let’s what this does (she’s at #4 on iTunes currently with the deluxe version).

And Ayo Technology by 50 Cent which has an instrumental that sounds like a GameBoy song lol.

The fact that the #1 song on Spotify has 288k streams (RMI) and nothing of note is challenging it - it feels like everyone has suddenly stopped streaming/listening to music.Guess some of it is down to streaming maturing and the plays being spread out across multiple artists and songs rather than concentrated on a few top songs.
Monday at 17:371 day The album chart is lowkey so exciting to follow even with low-ish sales. It’s so surprising at times that acts you think on paper challenge for #1 are nowhere near there and then other acts fully surprise you. I guess it goes to show the power signings, active promo on release week and bundles etc can do. I guess as well it shows what artists have dedicated fanbases and who just had a significant general public pull?! But every week or so I tend to have a surprise on the albums front.

Monday at 17:441 day On last Tuesday's update (no Monday update as it was a bank holiday), Ella was at least 904 sales ahead of Sienna (who was #6 so no sales figure given), and no more than 2,401 sales ahead (which was how far Ella was from Islands in the Stream, at #7). The gap was 1,139 on Wednesday, and 1,644 by Friday.Today, Ella's 701 ahead, which is a smaller gap than the best case scenario for last Tuesday. That said, Ella increased her lead by the end of the week so I'd put my money on her right now.

Her streaming numbers are very good (more than Kasabian and PRESIDENT) and this could give her an edge of a possible outcome in the next update, which is on Wednesday.
Monday at 18:061 day 1 hour ago, maggotsforbrains said:curious how close ADÉLA is to Kasabian and PRESIDENT - if her sales are close behind, her stronger streaming could give her the chance to overtake by the end of the weeknew Singles Chart entries outside the top 40:#44: Burn Down The Disco by James Marriott#51: GASS by Nemzz feat. Travis Scott#69: Nicole Kidman by ADÉLA#93: SaWaDiKa by LISAIt is getting ever more difficult for any tracks to break through.

Monday at 18:191 day Ooooh that's really decent for Natalie M Broolia! Hopefully she can notch up another top 10 🤞Big ouch for Ellie G at #10! Maybe I was a bit hasty declaring Sam Smith flop of the year if that falls lower?
Monday at 18:231 day Interesting that artists like Sam and Ellie are struggling on the albums chart but artists who never reached the heights they did like Natalie Imburglia, Bananarama, Louise (and countless others some of whom I didn’t even know existed) are all doing better than they did even in their peaks.I know it’s not a shock that artists who relied on radio and the general public for hits and didn’t connect with a certain niche (gay men, rock fans etc.) struggle on a fanbase-driven chart, but it still is surprising to see someone like Natalie Imbruglia outselling Ellie Goulding. Then some of my favourites who are somewhat known names, like Sara Bareilles, can’t even make the midweek chart with their new albums! It feels almost random whose albums chart well and whose doesn’t.
Monday at 18:241 day Is this week gonna have a new person at number 1 in every update lol considering Sienna lead over ella now on spotify and amazon
