I refuse to accept it until the 17th, its UK release date 😆

  • This - was really expecting something to kick start Fever 25 and the fact it’s reached a billion streams.

  • 25 years. What? I was only 6 years old when this song came out. Still sounds fresh today!

Such a moment, even though Kylie had returned with a successful ‘Light Years’ - The ‘Fever’ and CGYOOMH era really felt like she was elevated to superstar status again and everyone knew her, the song and was talking about here.

The song was everywhere at the time and still sounds as amazing today as it did then.

2012 X Factor

2002 MTV Spring Break

2001 Top Of The Pops

2001 Top Of The Pops Awards

Remember listening to this in Manchester on her tour for my 21st birthday.

Then suddenly she was a huge star again.

The not so close battle with Victoria B also at the time. Those CD singles sold like hotcakes

There is so many great memories around this song, performance wise that Brit performamnce remains my fave from her, i also remember been so impressed when i saw her first week sales of over 300,000 i was like wow this is huge.

I remember the release of this so clearly, I was already following music and the charts closely in 2001 (I was only an "admirer" at this stage, I wouldn't become a fully-fledged fan until the next summer) but I had a sense of how huge it was with its 4 weeks at #1 and keeping off Steps & a much hyped Michael Jackson comeback in its subsequent weeks. I don't think I learned until a few years later that it had actually sold over 300,000 copies in its first week!

I don’t think anyone in the industry or within her devoted core fan base (that includes me haha) thought she’d have such a giant hit. It eclipsed everything from her 1988 takeover and forever cemented her legacy. 2001 and 2002 was a huge time for Kylie.

I’m really surprised they haven’t announced a 7inch vinyl to celebrate especially as it has grown even bigger on streaming etc this year.

I hope your right and ideally a vinyl will be announced.

I really hope we get something special - we’ve had the re-issues of vinyl and cassette, time for a box set with unreleased tracks, outtakes, remixes and demos please - there is plenty in the vault to be used.
