Tonight, identities will be revealed in reverse order from lowest-scoring up until we reach the top two artists.

These have been some of the closest rounds of the competition so far gaga

First up, it's the GROUPS...

@Lukuzz

Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for Lukuzz this time around after placing sixth in Season 2 of The Pop Factor with Atomic Kitten. Sadly Lukuzz didn't get the chance to send You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) either, having held off his trump card in the first round. And then unfortunately the deadline was missed to submit a song for The Gamu Nhengu Gold Card meaning International Thing was the second (and last) Dead or Alive song we all heard. Would love to hear some recommendations, they were certainly an intriguing and inspired choice of artist to go for in what ended up being a mass 80s face-off category.

Entering an artist to the competition that holds such a special place in your heart and that you're so invested in on a personal level (which I imagine is the case for almost everybody) can maybe be a double-edged sword when things don't go the way you'd hope, and sadly iamamiwhoami ended up one of the two victims of The Six Chair Challenge for Pavi, who was understandably quite upset with the outcome. However, iamamiamwhoami certainly provided something different here. Despite them having success in other contests on BuzzJack through the years and probably being known to many because of those or otherwise, for those that perhaps had heard the name and not delved into any of their music, Pavi did an excellent job introducing everybody here to them with some cracking songs just scratching the surface!

Oh I had Lukuzz down for Tove Lo! I actually liked that Dead or Alive random pick. But sure You Spin Me Round would have hit bigger.

Pavi’s act is no surprise, they really had some great songs entered to this ❤️

I don't think there was any doubt in anyone's mind who may have been behind Sade from the very beginning of the competition. But any doubt anyone did have was firmly put to bed when vibe simply couldn't contain their frustration any longer with swathes of low scores for Sade during the public voting rounds. Sade helped vibe improve their placing from Season 2 where they entered Toni Braxton, but didn't quite manage to make it all the way to the final like Mary J. Blige in Season 1. Certainly a very different vibe to the other groups this season, Sade brought the relaxed, soothing, soulful vibes each round and certainly seemed to pick up more support when the more recognisable songs were played.

@Pting Rollo

In any other season it might have seemed blindingly obvious that it was indeed King Rollo behind Ultravox, but with the category ending up full of old timers this season, perhaps not? King Rollo has managed to make it quite far into the competition in both Season 1 and 2 with Pet Shop Boys (runners-up) and Nik Kershaw respectively, so it's a shame that Ultravox didn't quite make it as far as they did. Probably a victim of them all fighting for the same group's attention in the early stages, while picking up more casual votes with the all-out pop voters? Vienna, however, is a great high for Ultravox to go out on!

Also no real surprise. I thought Rollo could also possibly be Gary Numan, however as he sent Nick Kershaw last time a group seemed more likely.

Vibe definitely not a surprise for reasons mentioned, and also detailed comments made about Pearls earlier on in the voting round that was in.

@Chez VampireBat

I'm supposed to be writing commentary for an artist here, but I don't know which one as there's no name? unsure (did I do it right @Brélican? x)

Of course it was none other than Chez behind M83. Must admit I didn't realise there'd be so many potential others that could have been behind them going by some of the predictions made throughout the season, but hey. Chez's second appearance in the competition - jumping over to the groups after doing so well with David Bowie last time - didn't quite return the same result, but I have to say I was floored when I realised that Outro was an M83 song. A very fitting way to bow out of the competition with something so epic! Now the question is will Chez dramatically increase the average age of the Solo Female category in Season 4? x
