When people said, in round 2, the Vengaboys song '1999' was a cover, I assumed they meant of the Prince song and I couldn't see any resemblance. It's only today that I've discovered that's it's a cover of a song that I don't know so it now makes sense to me.

Whilst I’m absolutely gutted to lose Agnes and Leona I think the right decision was reached in the end.Commiserations and well done to the exiting mentors and artists. I do really feel for @Horror Scene/Agnes in particular. That was a brutal way to leave the competition and to not get back in with two absolutely incredible songs.

13 minutes ago13 min Thanks for the nice commentary Calum. I was rather premature sending 'Take My Hand' before the album theme came. I didn't realise that was coming straight after as I would have switched to something else but it is what it is. I did always have 'Stan' set for the final though oops and 'White Flag' as the big introductory song to start off.'Mary's In India' was a real struggle as no other album tracks stuck out as being on a competitive level so was always gonna be a uphill battle there.Shame I never got to send any of her other great hits like 'Life For Rent', 'Hunter', 'Here With Me', 'Dont Leave Home' and 'One Step Too Far' and even 'Thank You' 😉Congrats to the qualifiers again and I will take notes on how to play better on 2nd go around.
