  • I think Blossoms will be clear for #1. I think The Beatles will be the biggest competition, but they’re hardly going to sell signed copies if they’re behind 😂

  • Ringo is about as likely to sign CDs as John and George...

I did some research into the rock genre chart the other day. Turns out the genre charts but the rock chart in particular are weirdly manipulated via 1991 and 2007 archiving rules. The only reason the dance chart seems immune is that there are big new hits. Whereas the rock chart is totally naffed up.

the OCC are REALLY weird about what they class as "Rock" - Sam Fender, Arctic Monkeys and Fontaines D.C. are apparently not rock enough to chart there despite being literal rock acts 😭 + they ought to look at more alternative artists being eligible too (Noah Kahan should probably be eligible too and there's been a handful of big alt-leaning hits like Sailor Song which other chart companies consider Rock/Alternative - not the OCC tho 💀)

Hope Noah can get another top 10 with draw you out this week! Justice for can’t catch me now missing out on a top 10 peak

It's technically a "rock and metal" chart rather than alternative so they're looking for heavier sounds when compiling so much of Fontaines/Sam Fender/Sailor Song wouldn't fit. Doesn't explain why Iris is in there though...

this one's ok but the worst of Drake's three tracks is yet to come though...

Hope these Drizzler songs fall away. Haven't heard any but I just know they are terrible especially the one sampling the already rubbish Choosin Texas

and some of Fall Out Boy’s pretty pop 2010s material too. It’s a mess!

they should just do what Billboard did and change it to a combined Rock & Alternative chart tbh - would help reduce the stagnation too given there'd be more current tracks able to chart

26 Tame Impala - Loser

surely this didnt climb last week? must be on 2WD

Methinks, these have gone out from last week's chart, not sue about Oasis, personally I feel Madonna has gone as well, but I'm just guessing

22*  (Re)   Madonna – Danceteria

26*  (22)   KATSEYE – Animal

29*  (31)   Oasis – Don’t Look Back In Anger   ????

35*  (35)   Robyn – Dancing On My Own

36*  (***)   DJ Goja, Jason Derulo & Melody – Mi Chico

40*  (33)   Shakira & Burna Boy – Dai Dai

oh dear... didn't really need this getting two plays tbh 💀 (not as bad as some of yous say though, she's made MUCH worse)

Honestly I think this is a contender for her worst song, and I speak as a really big Taylor fan 😭
