  • Apologies for completely missing this, I had no idea the vote was happening. Happy for people to tag me in future rates as always happy to enter. I will try and comment along though. New York City

  • 'Please Stay' is just as good as the other Kylie 2000 singles for me. Love it.

We’re in the Top 50

Ranking 46-50

#46 Especially For You - Score: 86.5

#47 Magic - Score: 86

#48 Wouldn’t Change A Thing - Score: 85

#48 Please Stay - Score: 85

#50 Flower - Score: 84

The ultimate outcome to the Kylie and Jason mania, ‘Especially For You’ spent 3 weeks at #1 after being in runner up position for a month.

‘Wouldn’t Change A Thing’ spent 2 weeks in runner up position behind Jive Bunny’s debut hit.

‘Please Stay’ cemented Kylie’s return to pop, becoming her 4th UK Top 10 from ‘Light Years’.

So many tracks, love Magic I hope she doesn’t forgot about it.

Some Kind Of Bliss is eternally robbed, it's in my Kylie top five!

I do love Please Stay and Especially For You too, although understand their positions here. Please Stay was the first Kylie single I bought I think.

Honestly this - it deserved to be huge.

Some kind of Bliss just always fall.short which is such z shame as its great.

Please stay I do like but it's just I prefer a few album tracks to it.

Please Stay was my favourite Light Years single back in 2000/2001.

Not so much now, but it's still really enjoyable.

I think please stay just gets forgotten about but is liked.

Pure pop goodness - I love it and it always reminded me of what a mature PWL sound might have been like.

Ranking 41-45

#41 Got To Be Certain - Score: 90

#42 Into The Blue - Score: 89.5

#43 Turn It Into Love - Score: 89

#44 GBI - Score: 88.5

#45 Wow - Score: 87.5

Extremely close scores from now on all the way to the top of the charts which will throw up some surprises 👀

‘Got To Be Certain’ spent 3 weeks in runner up position blocked from the top spot by Wet Wet Wet’s charity single ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’.

‘Into The Blue’ was the lead single from KMO, missing out on a Top 10 position (something which the label apparently thought was a certainty and wobbled the campaign before it even started) peaking at #12.

One of my personal favourites, the bonkers ‘GBI’ - I’ve always felt released at a time when Kylie was more in favour it actually could’ve been a hit. It reached #50 in Australia and #63 in the UK but has spawned a massive amount of physical variants over the years.

I love GBI and I agree it could have been a bigger hit!

Also 'Turn It Into Love' is my favourite PWL song.

Snap on Turn It Into Love - I love it, one of my all time favourites.

And yes, GBI is crying out to be discovered by the TikTok influencers! It deserves it moment - so wacky and ahead of its time when it was released.

Some really great songs there andd all good scores, got to be certain just missing the final 40.

Agree about GBI it really does ereve to have a viral moment i always find this and Tension have the same kind of vibe to them.

I feel Got To Be Certain is possibly slightly forgotten from the singles on her debut album.

Which is a shame if so as it's by far the best.

All the singles were so strong from that album.

Ranking 36-40

#36 Timebomb - Score: 91.5

#37 Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi - Score: 90.5

#38 The Loco-motion - Score: 90

#39 Musics Too Sad Without You - Score: 89.5

#39 Say Something - Score: 89.5

One of many messy Kylie releases ‘Timebomb’ - a surprise end of week release, it entered at #31 and held that position for 2 weeks, I’m certain it would’ve been an easy Top 20 hit had it got a standard release.

Two PWL classics JNSPP and TLM - both peaked at #2 in the UK, TLM was held in runner up position for a month behind Yazz ‘The Only Way Is Up, and JNSPP spent 3 weeks behind Enya’s ‘Orinoco Flow’
