Get outta my way would be about 20 places lower for me and good to see come into my world really holding up as good as other singles from that huge fever era.

Apologies for completely missing this, I had no idea the vote was happening. Happy for people to tag me in future rates as always happy to enter. I will try and comment along though. New York City

  • 'Please Stay' is just as good as the other Kylie 2000 singles for me. Love it.

Ranking 11 - 15

#11 Can’t Get You Out Of My Head - Score: 112

#12 What Do I Have To Do - Score: 111

#13 The One - Score: 109

#14 Put Yourself In My Place - Score: 107

#14 Where The Wild Roses Grow - Score: 107

Maybe the biggest shock of the results, Kylie’s biggest hit ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ misses the Top 10 landing at #11.

‘Where The Wild Roses Grow’ was a moderate success when originally released peaking at #11 but has gone on to be a Kylie staple.

Some shocks there in some ways but im not surprised with cant get you out of my head missing the top 10 as the kylie fans here have often said its not one of their faves.

The One is hugely popular here so i probaly expected it to go top 10 based on that, and while im very happy what do i have to do ranked as high as 12th i would have way higher.

I think where the wild roses grow placed around where i expoected it to,

Ranking 6-10

#6 Padam Padam - Score: 117

#7 Tension - Score: 116

#8 Better The Devil You Know - Score: 115.5

#9 Slow - Score: 114

#10 Confide In Me - Score: 113

Love this section - covering PWL right up to new era.

‘Confide In Me’ was Kylie’s big ‘comeback’ after breaking away from PWL and signing with Deconstruction, peaking at #2 held off the top spot by Wet Wet Wet which were on their 15th and final week at the top with ‘Love Is All Around’.

‘Better The Devil You Know’ has gone on to be a cult classic, and for a long time was a G-A-Y anthem. It spent 2 weeks at #2 - held off the top spot by Adamski/Seal with ‘Killer’. It was later covered by Steps and released as a double A-side returning the song to the Top 5 peaking at #4.

The Tension era returned Kylie to the upper reaches of the singles chart - Padam, Padam peaked at #8 followed by Tension at #19.

All of that 6-10 section are fantastic songs. I'm not quite sure I'd have Padam x2 as high as #6, although it's justifiable.

Agree it’s an amazing song but slightly too high for me with some many classics in her back catalogue.

I think outside of the fans that grew up with her though it’s one of her biggest hits/most recognizable song from recent years so that probably sways its popularity (along with the feel good factor of it being a hit when we never thought it would happen again).

I understand Padam Padam and Tension so high as in a way they ar estill relatvely new and have been a huge part of Kylies career in the last decade so there places are justifiable but they wouldnt be queit so high for me.

Conifide in me always does well but its a little lower than i expected but i would also say its more fairly placed this time.

Slow i do like but its not top top tier for me.

Better the devdil you know also a little lower than i expected but im glad its at least top 10 as its really vintage KYlie,.

#5 Breathe - Score: 118.5

The 3rd and final UK release from the ‘Impossible Princess’ album became the joint highest charting single peaking at #14.

Very very happy to see Breathe Top 5, if only it managed to go officially top 5 as a single as it deserved far far more success.

I know ive said in other posts but id love Braethe to get used as a sample and kylie get an offical credit and the track to be a big hit

^^ Breathe and the whole IP project deserves its flowers - we need a viral moment, hopefully the trendy TikTok kids make it happen 🤣

I feel like 'Breathe' performed respectably considering it's not a commercial-friendly sounding track, and she wasn't exactly hot property at the time.

Terrific song!

Terrific song!

It’s amazing it done as well as it did coming 5 months after the release of Impossible Princess - the project (and her record deal) were over at the point it was released.

Great to see Breathe so high up. Great production and lyrics, deserved far more success but us die hard fans have never forgotten it.

Yes at that point we knew things were looking bad, before its actual release i had feared it would chart even worse than some kind of bliss so i very happy with its number 14 debut.

She looked effortlessly stuning in her TOTP performamnce of the song.

Love that Put Yourself In My Place and Breathe are so high!

Tension is Kylie’s top-3 to me too, but I’m not surprised it’s this high in this edition due to it being quite new and being a hit.
