SOLO MALE

After a tense, divisive round in the competition at The Six Chair Challenge in Szczecin, it's time for the solo male artists to move on to the next stage of the competition, and they find themselves in Joensuu, a city located in the eastern interior of Finland. Here, they will perform for you, the voting BuzzJack public, in a bid to secure their spot in the second part of Judges' Houses. Not only that, there's a theme: all of the artists will be performing a beloved streaming hit, one that is among their top 10 most streamed songs of all time on Spotify!

How it works:

Once you have listened to all of the artists perform you should post a ranking of each of the performances. You can rank them from best to worst (making clear which is your favourite down to least favourite), or use the template below:

01 (favourite)

02

03

04

05

06 (least favourite)

For those voting who have entered one of the artists into the competition, you should rank all six performances in all categories.

As always, even if you are not competing in The Pop Factor you can vote too!

When voting closes, the five male solo artists with the highest scores will proceed to the next round while ONE artist will be eliminated from the competition and will not be going through.

However, the competition doesn't end there. Any artists eliminated from the competition - until stated - will be eligible to compete for the chance to return and claim The Gamu Nhengu Gold Card.

Voting will close on Tuesday 20 October 2026, 17:59 BST

So let's get the show on the road! It's time for the solo male artists to give us their all at JUDGES' HOUSES...

Nah RIP old man

Toms best song - What an ANTHEM

Tom, Sam S and Calvin all bringing out some big hitters!

Will We Talk?

Don’t mind that Tom G song tbh

Some decent picks here though possibly not quite as stacked as the other two categories. I don't know the old man song or the twink song so I'm looking forward to checking out both of those - Darin hasn't disappointed me yet so I really hope he's not about to start now!

Thankfully!

This is the weakest for me, I do like the Tom G song a lot! I'm also familiar with the Gary song but will need to listen again. The Sam Smith song is not one of my faves by him so that will be a relisten. Genuinely cannot wait to hear the Darin one, have loved all his entries so far! The Calvin and Sam Fender ones are not my faves either so... Shall be interesting I shall listen with an open mind.

1. Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love

2. Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La

3. Gary Numan & Tubeway Army - Down in the Park

4. Sam Fender - Will We Talk?

5. Darin - En apa som liknar dig

6. Tom Grennan - Little Bit of Love

1 Sam Smith

2 Calvin Harris

3 Darin

4 Tom Greenan

5 Sam Fender

6 Gary Newman

Really enjoyed the top 4, perhaps the best round yet.
