Posted 22 hours ago22 hr SOLO MALEAfter a tense, divisive round in the competition at The Six Chair Challenge in Szczecin, it's time for the solo male artists to move on to the next stage of the competition, and they find themselves in Joensuu, a city located in the eastern interior of Finland. Here, they will perform for you, the voting BuzzJack public, in a bid to secure their spot in the second part of Judges' Houses. Not only that, there's a theme: all of the artists will be performing a beloved streaming hit, one that is among their top 10 most streamed songs of all time on Spotify! How it works:Once you have listened to all of the artists perform you should post a ranking of each of the performances. You can rank them from best to worst (making clear which is your favourite down to least favourite), or use the template below:01 (favourite)0203040506 (least favourite)For those voting who have entered one of the artists into the competition, you should rank all six performances in all categories. As always, even if you are not competing in The Pop Factor you can vote too! When voting closes, the five male solo artists with the highest scores will proceed to the next round while ONE artist will be eliminated from the competition and will not be going through. However, the competition doesn't end there. Any artists eliminated from the competition - until stated - will be eligible to compete for the chance to return and claim The Gamu Nhengu Gold Card.Voting will close on Tuesday 20 October 2026, 17:59 BSTSo let's get the show on the road! 19 hours ago19 hr Some decent picks here though possibly not quite as stacked as the other two categories. I don't know the old man song or the twink song so I'm looking forward to checking out both of those - Darin hasn't disappointed me yet so I really hope he's not about to start now!
17 hours ago17 hr This is the weakest for me, I do like the Tom G song a lot! I'm also familiar with the Gary song but will need to listen again. The Sam Smith song is not one of my faves by him so that will be a relisten. Genuinely cannot wait to hear the Darin one, have loved all his entries so far! The Calvin and Sam Fender ones are not my faves either so... Shall be interesting I shall listen with an open mind.

3 hours ago3 hr I thought this round could have had some stronger songs played personally, but I guess many of the solo males are playing the long game.Darin - En apa som liknar dig - another Swedish language banger from Darin, which translates as 'a monkey that looks like you'! This was also a cover song, from his time on a Swedish programme called Så Mycket Bättre where over the course of several weeks several artists cover each other's hits, with each artist having a week devoted to covers of their songs.. I always wish that format had been used over here!Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La - not a major fave for me, but I can't argue with it being a quality track and it was a big smash for a reason, Sam did some really big collaborations!Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love - ditto, not a Calvin favourite of mine but it felt fresh hearing it again todayGary Numan & Tubeway Army - Down in the Park - a decent, atmospheric song from Gary this weekTom Grennan - Little Bit of Love - not a hit I love but has a good chorusSam Fender - Will We Talk? - I love Sam's People Watching album but must admit much of the material from before then isn't really my cup of tea

Sam Smith - La La La04; Sam Fender - Will We Talk?05; Tom Grennan - Little Bit of Love06; Darin - En apa som liknar digFantastic from Gary again, though the Calvin one is one of my favourites. Also good ones from both Sams, I get the sense that Sam S's mentor is saving their best collaboration for last x

1 hour ago1 hr 01. Sam Fender - Will We Talk? [FAVOURITE]02. Darin - En apa som liknar dig03. Tom Grennan - Little Bit of Love04. Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love05. Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La06. Gary Numan & Tubeway Army - Down in the ParkThe first Sam Fender I ever heard/took notice of and I love it so much! Such a great choice. I assume we won't be hearing much more from his debut era (which will be a shame - still holding on to a little bit of hope for 'White Privilege' but I know that will be a HUGE risk at any stage!) but what a song this is. Darin delivered another pop banger! KING! I really enjoy that Tom song, but I just wish it was sung by someone with more pleasing vocals lmao Couldn't care less about those Calvin and Sam Smith choices. Both are overrated and both artists have better. I'm just not a fan of Gary lol.
