It's SoundClash!

In this event we celebrate the one hit wonders of the 21st century so far.

In each round, two songs will go head to head to come out on top, with each credited artist only having a single UK Top 40 hit to their name. In each case, you're voting for your favourite song. The winning songs will then go into a grand collection of one hit wonders to be voted for once the opening rounds are complete.

These are the two songs going head to head this round;

Made In London – Dirty Water {#15, 2000} 🇬🇧

Made in London were a British pop girl group formed in the early 2000s, consisting of five members who emerged during the era of chart-friendly teen pop.

Starley – Call On Me [Ryan Riback Remix] {#6, 2016} 🇳🇿

Starley is an Australian singer-songwriter known for her blend of dance-pop, electronic music and soulful vocals.

  • Don't think I've ever knowingly heard that Made In London song before but it's much more palatable than that other track, the musical equivalent of a fly buzzing around your ears for 3 straight minute

    Dirty Water, though I do prefer the Bardot version which appeared on their 2001 album Play It Like That.

The wonderful and hugely underrated Dirty Water, a tune!

I liked Starley at the time but that production style has dated so quickly.

Didn't recognise the Made In London by title or name but it does ring some bell as sure I've heard it before. It's pretty good though so my vote goes to it.

That said Starley's is also good so would be a bit closer this one.
