(P) http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/VSCDT1937.JPG Chart Run: 16-24 [1 wk] Release date: 4-6-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: VSCDT1937 Label: VIRGIN 'What Am I Fighting For' is the massive follow up single to the debut 'Love Ya'. With their instantly recognisable unique electro-soul sound the trio are quickly establishing themselves at credible end of the pop spectrum. They don't sound like anything else around, taking their cues from classic soul, p-funk, 80s electro pop and making it all their own with an edge that's immediately accessible, totally commercial and uniquely contemporary. - HMV hHmZoULqk78 track listing 1. What Am I Fighting For? 2. Ain't No Sunshine
June 17, 200719 yr I don't mind the long runners. The problem is, the songs are not good this year. Almost every track is forgottable. I agree so far 2007 has not been as good for new music as 2004, 2005 & 2006 IMHO.
June 17, 200719 yr Hardly, Ben. Weve had some great long runners - Avril, Gwen, Nelly. Its just that nobody is going to like every track. I said almost. I loved Nelly (the other ones not so much)
June 17, 200719 yr Kelis' Lil Star deserved to be as big as some of the other long runners like Nelly though :(
June 17, 200719 yr I agree so far 2007 has not been as good for new music as 2004, 2005 & 2006 IMHO. Blame the new chart rules
June 17, 200719 yr I agree so far 2007 has not been as good for new music as 2004, 2005 & 2006 IMHO. I also agree :( i think its been a bit rubbish and slow for good music
June 17, 200719 yr Does anyone else think the chart is becoming more and more like Billboard Hot 100? :(
June 17, 200719 yr Does anyone else think the chart is becoming more and more like Billboard Hot 100? :( No! Why do you say that?

June 17, 200719 yr 31 Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend 30 Editors - Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/SKCD93.JPG Chart Run: 30 [1 wk] Release date: 18-6-2007 Availability: available for pre-order Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: SKCD93 Label: COLUMBIA Recorded by Garret 'Jacknife' Lee (U2, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party, etc), the five minute long 'Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors' has been earmarked by Editors as the lead single from their new album, 'An End Has A Start', since it's inception at the close of 2006. The track documents Tom Smith's reaction to a growing realisation of the confusion and complexity of life; the things we term the "big questions". The title is both darkly humorous and deeply poignant and is the perfect introduction to the band’s more complex and considered follow up to debut 'The Back Room'. - HMV Video here: 7c3jK32pOt8 track listing 1. Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors 2. An Eye For An Eye Discussion Thread here Well it's not a great as the tune Munich but I guess the band is trying to make their signature tune with this 5 minute song. Will see next week if this tune is there biggest hit but I think they will fall short.
June 17, 200719 yr No! Why do you say that? Cause its so slow and we have hardly any new entries within the Top 10. And songs hang around for aaaaages
June 17, 200719 yr Does anyone else think the chart is becoming more and more like Billboard Hot 100? :( No. The UK chart is slowing down fast but there are more variety of genres. The Billboard hot 100 is :puke2:
June 17, 200719 yr I still really like the new chart ^_^ It is 100% representative of what people are buying - if we have a lot of long-runners it's because people are still buying them. To get rid of the long-runners would also get rid of the accuracy of the chart
