I have always thought it's his best single yet....probably because his others are so c**p

P.S. could you please vote for a Lily Allen forum and vote for M.I.A. as well while your at it. ;) :D

What a load of $h!te! They'll quite happily play songs they've played 4 million times already but won't play one off the number one album from an act full of legends!

How typical.

:manson:

Well that is why Radio 1's Chartshow is rubbish when they don't play music that is in the chart. No wonder kids are growing up ignorant thinking that the Pussycat Dolls are better than The Beatles; JoJo is better than Bob Dylan, etc....especially when Simon Cowell justifies appointing a dance choreographer for the next series of X Factor because "being able to Dance is important in pop music today". FECKING IDIOT! :manson:

Anyway from the #1 album in Ireland, Australia, the UK & soon to be announced #1 album is the USA:

Travelling Wilburys (the late George Harrison (The Beatles), the late Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty & Jeff Lynne (ELO) - End Of The Line)

The tender and heartfelt 'Books From Boxes' comes hot on the heels of the A-listed Top 10 smash hit 'Our Velocity'. Once again, Maximo Park fans are treated to more exclusive tracks and previously unheard versions across the B sides. Gracing the CD single is their alternative take on The Proclaimers’ '500 Miles' - recorded exclusively for Jo Whiley’s Live Lounge last month. So adored, it lit up the Radio 1 switchboard with requests for the cover version to be released. Backing the second 7" is 'Don McPhee', continuing the series of songs inspired by Paul Smith’s fascination with peoples’ lives as he reads their obituaries. Don McPhee was a photographer for The Guardian whilst 'Mary O Brien' on 'Our Velocity' was Dusty Springfield’s alter ego. These celebrations of individuals’ lives are set to guitarist Duncan Lloyd’s folk inspired, home recorded tunes, and there’ll be more tributes to follow. - HMV

No plugging please, let's keep to the chart thread, I've already emphasised this at the start of the thread. :P

We dont need the whole Beatles are amazing, more people need to know their music blah blah. Its a bloody good job the kids of today dont all buy the Beatles, because if the music of 40 years ago was still in the chart, I for one certainly wouldnt listen! ^_^

A 2nd top 20 single from Maximo's current album is decent enough!
I actually prefer thier last single to be honest, but I still love these.
