June 17, 200719 yr I still really like the new chart ^_^ It is 100% representative of what people are buying - if we have a lot of long-runners it's because people are still buying them. To get rid of the long-runners would also get rid of the accuracy of the chart  Exactly. Blame the public if you dont like the chart!
June 17, 200719 yr No. The UK chart is slowing down fast but there are more variety of genres. The Billboard hot 100 is :puke2: Oh I didn't mean by genre. There is lots of variety, even though some may argue it is more indie. I just meant by how songs hang around for AGES and theres a lack of new releases lately :(
June 17, 200719 yr 2007 has been my favourite year for music in ages! Just not the $h!te that clogs up the chart for weeks on end!
June 17, 200719 yr Does anyone else think the chart is becoming more and more like Billboard Hot 100? :( Yes, but is still better than the mockery of the charts around the turn of the century when we had 40 #1s in a year, with 5 or 6 new entries inside the Top10 on a regular basis and the average chart life of a single was 4 to 5 weeks. Anyway if you think the actual chart is bad & slow moving then you should compare it with BuzzJack's Personal Chart #1's: BUZZJACK NO. 1s OF 2007 (points in brackets) 01. 01/01/07 *NELLY FURTADO – ALL GOOD THINGS (COME TO AN END) {524}{544}* [2 wks @ #1] 02. 15/01/07 *MIKA – GRACE KELLY {604}{882}{744}* [3 wks @ #1] 03. 05/02/07 *KELIS - LIL STAR {688}{645}* [2 wks @ #1] 04. 26/02/07 *NELLY FURTADO – SAY IT RIGHT {644}{880}{896}{839}{938}* [5wks @ #1] 05. 02/04/07 *AVRIL LAVIGNE – GIRLFRIEND {933}* [1wk @ #1] 06. 09/04/07 *BEYONCE/SHAKIRA – BEAUTIFUL LIAR {912}{814){822}{906}{816} * [5wks @ #1] 07. 14/05/07 *RIHANNA – UMBRELLA {729}{992}{877}{1079}{1028} * [5wks @ #1]
June 17, 200719 yr Exactly. Blame the public if you dont like the chart! yep! And the Billboard hot 100 is also contains what radios are playing the most so it is not really accurate.
June 17, 200719 yr No. The UK chart is slowing down fast but there are more variety of genres. The Billboard hot 100 is :puke2: Very slow, I just hate the long chart runners, and new entries are pretty low each week, I remember we used to have 12-16 new entries per week, those days are gone

June 17, 200719 yr Very slow, I just hate the long chart runners, and new entries are pretty low each week, I remember we used to have 12-16 new entries per week, those days are gone Good! The process of enter top 5, fall out of the top 20 the next week were SO boring - better to see a song climb to a decent peak ^_^
June 17, 200719 yr Downloads have also slowed down the charts because only big radio hits seem to be favourable with download buyers, so most physical only releases that few people have heard about seem to land somewhere between 75-100 instead of the top40 like in the 90s and early 00s.

June 17, 200719 yr Awful album chart. Old daddy's albums :puke2: Hmm, I wonder if that has anything to do with Father's Day? :P
