I'm still hoping they'll make the CD/7" available again as I'm still hoping to get a copy, cos I was slow on the uptake and didn't work what the song I liked was called until it was already withdrawn.

I am sure there are some on e-bay?

After 53 weeks, WHO and WHY are people buying this?

No one can argue that this is not one of the tunes of the decade, just mesmerising!

Even if it has been over played, its just song perfection!

I never liked this song to begin with. ;_; What is so good about it?

62, not 53 Josh

I can just imagine it: Someone's going through the Top 100 songs on iTunes, sees "Chasing Cars", goes, "You know, I've never noticed this before" and downloads it.

That's the only reason I can think of for people downloading a song that I did during the World Cup last year.

Only another 6 weeks to go to become the second longest.

That would beat the 67 weeks of Amazing Grace by Judy Collins.

Then there is a long way to go to become the longest - That was an amazing 122 weeks of Frank Sinatra's My Way.

I used to like this song, but now I'm bored of it.

I'm surprised a song that lasted this long only peaked at #6.

which is likely to be broke. I think Chasing Cars will do more than that

I do also, unfortunately.

It was a really nice song at first, but it's been overhyped and overplayed to hell - it's completely lost any emotion or meaning it once had.

Love this song so I'm glad its still in charts :) it's the song I think of when I think of 2006

I think 122 weeks is extremely unlikely - and besides, that was in a top 50 chart rather than top 75.

For me its 2006 i think of when i think of the song!

BTW the song is up to 49 now. Classics often re-enter at christmas even if they aren't christmas songs

now its 62 weeks in the chart - Chasing Cars just need to be on top 200 for more than a year to beat the record and I think it can make it...

this is really strange how it can be on chart for so long time :w00t:

By my reckoning, the last [top 75] chart not to feature any song in this week's chart (i.e. Rehab or Chasing Cars) was w/e 22nd July 2006..
