Tuesday at 22:503 days It's not an album I visit often, but a few gems on there. Any Dannii release is exciting I guess
Wednesday at 16:182 days Not streamed CD for ages - giving it a play now.I wonder who’s going to be handling the release, assuming AATW still own the rights - it could be another tie up with Cherry Red who handled ‘Girl’ or via AATW’s new label Xploded Music.
Thursday at 23:551 day I hope it is a label that makes amazing varients and pushes it both in Australia and the UK.
19 hours ago19 hr This a good album, but the tracklisting did need to be streamlined a bit & then it could have been a proper follow up to 'Neon Nights', while it doesn't reach the heights of that masterpiece, there was still potential here. Instead of the staggered digital release & scattered singles run, this deserved a proper physical release & remove the filler lounge mixes at the end of the album & release it in early 2006, but not sure how many of the tracks were recorded for that potential release.Limit the official single run to powerhouse tracks such as 'You Won't Forget About Me', 'Perfection', 'Feel Like I Do' or 'Love Fight', then have 'I Can't Sleep At Night' as the final single. Then have the 'The Hits & Beyond' released in late 2006 & have 'So Under Pressure' as the lead to promote then include 'Touch Me Like That' on the tracklisting & release that in early 2007.The schedule could have looked something like this:OCT '04 - 'You Won't Forget About Me'OCT '05 - 'Perfection'FEB '06 - 'Feel Like I Do' or 'Love Fight'MAR '06 - Album ReleaseMAY '06 - 'I Can't Sleep At Night'NOV '06 - 'So Under Pressure'NOV '06 - The Hits & BeyondFEB '07 - 'Touch Me Like That'APRIL '07 - 'He's The Greatest Dancer' (Have this added to either album as a fun bonus re-release track)
16 hours ago16 hr ^^ If only Dannii had of had a great label behind her to do something like that.AATW were a good label but limited to single success rather than growing artists into successful albums (a few exceptions with the likes of Scooter etc., who they had album hits with).I don’t think they really knew how to handle a ‘popstar’.
5 hours ago5 hr It's not really an album, it's more of a collection of releases and recordings in the years since Neon Nights cobbled together in a "compilation"
