October 23, 200718 yr No chance TT are 18k ahead of Britney Ah, I see that now... Well, she will still probably manage to push more then 50k this week. And, she will probably stay in the top ten for a bit.
October 23, 200718 yr I can't see Westlife passing Leona next week, not too sure about TT, hopefully further updates later in the week will give us a clear idea OK, thanks. :)
October 23, 200718 yr her sales are very strong so i wudnt be surprised if she goes well over 175,000 which is a hell of alot stronger than sales for shayne wards second single, i dont mind leona getting to number 1 but would have prefered take that as i think its a great song, the top 10 is brilliant this week and everytone is fighting for there positions which is great as it adds excitement

October 23, 200718 yr yes i agree, simon seems to be doing everything in his power to make leona huge and so far ots working
October 23, 200718 yr I'm not a Shayne Ward fan by any means but I think we have to remember his second single didn't have the benefit of being showcased to his target audience on X Factor. Indeed and i have to say the success of Leona's song proves the power and success of the X-Factor rather than the greatness of the track itself - Without the backing of the X-Factor performance and the much publicised chart battle although i am sure it would have got to #1 i doubt it would have achieved sales of 66k in 2 days.
October 23, 200718 yr Regardless of simons backing i think she deserves it! shes worked hard to get where she is
October 23, 200718 yr Eww at N-dubz be higher in the charts than bsb.And yay at take that a top 20 position aint that bad and im happy for leona.
October 23, 200718 yr The song is amazing so I'm thrilled Leona looks like she'll get the #1! Just because she performed on X-Factor and that is great promotion, doesn't take away how good the song is IMO.
October 23, 200718 yr Regardless of simons backing i think she deserves it! shes worked hard to get where she is Has she? doing what exactly
October 23, 200718 yr Regardless of simons backing i think she deserves it! shes worked hard to get where she is Not yet she hasn't, all she's done is an x-factor tour and record an album, the working hard part comes from now on.
October 23, 200718 yr Has she? doing what exactly  She's been trying to get into the music industry for a while before XF, working part-time as a receptionist and waitress to fund studio time. She made a demo album which wasn't picked up by any labels and she was about to give up when she went for X-Factor. She's taken her time on this album, wrote for it and recorded lots of songs before wittling them down to the final ones on the album. So yes she has worked harder than people think.
October 23, 200718 yr Well done Leona! :D All of the people that said 50k maximum will be eating their words now eh? Queue apologies from the majority of Take That fans...
October 23, 200718 yr Why's everyone so happy about Leona at #1?, it's dreadful x-factor fodder as usual.
October 23, 200718 yr Here's me thinking pop was dead...you can't get more pop than Leona, Take That, Sugababes, Britney and McFly :o Exactly, another sad day for the charts, and one again computer generated backing music dominating it :(. Feels like 1999 all over again, epsecially with Man Utd winning all the time    .
October 23, 200718 yr By Sunday...top 5 will look like this, for sure Leona Britney Take That Sugababes Mclfy Im convinced!
October 23, 200718 yr 1999- a year people hated drumkits, bass guitars and six strings. 2007- Six years later we're back to that. I don't give a d*mn about the charts anymore, a single is a hit if it goes top 75 no matter what. It's the albums that matter in terms of sales and it's sales that matter most, not it's chart position. From now on I'm only caring about sales. Give me a #2 platinum album over a #1 gold anyday, why?, sales matter most. Edited October 23, 200718 yr by Marcus
