Final sales are roughly usually about 3.2 times first day sales..which gives them about 70K end of week Using the same formula puts Leona on about 393,000!, within touching distance of fastest selling uk act by ANY female.(Currently dido with 401,000 1st week sales) omg, I think I'm gonna cry, lol. Why aren't spice fans buying it? 17 sold out london dates and 2 in manchester and that is like over 300,000 fans and not even half of the hardcore fans are buying it. Spice Girls should at least sell 150,000 in the first week. Does anyone know how much Take that's Beautiful world album in it's first week? Also, Does anyone know how much Take That latest greatest hits sold in it's first week (I fink it was in 2005). Spice girls HAVE to do more promotion because fans aren't buying it. Fans already have all the songs and they don't care about the new songs, such a shame. Just pray they don't loose their numba 2 spot to Pestlife, Cu*Tlife, Sh*tlife. It's like the album Forever all over again...
November 15, 200718 yr I totally agree. I've always been more of a Kylie fan than a Take That fan. But Take That's superb single is more deserving of the UK#2 position for a 4th week than a lukewarm effort by Kylie. Assuming Take That maintain the #2 spot on Sunday then it means we would have had a great Top2 for the past 4 weeks. Although like Norma I expect the boost of a CIN appearance will see Kylie back at #2 by Sunday. Totally agree with both of you. Such a shame on poor take that, they deserve the number one position. I LOVE Kylie but that song isn't as good as the rest of her album. 2 hearts gives the impression that Kylie's taking a different route with her music, HOWEVER, her new album X sounds exactly like Fever (my favorite female solo album of all time). X is like Fever part 2 and if any of you haven't heard bits of it, you should go to her official site and download a free remix. She could have easily released Like a drug, In my arms or even The one. I still can't believe she is number 2, I hope Take That overtake her. I just hope next week Spice girls single Headlines goes to number one (come on ppl, it's for charity)
November 15, 200718 yr In response to the question "WHO ARE LAHAYNA?!?!?" (entered the mid-week charts at around number 15) I have heard of them!!! They are a band based in london and essex who I saw play at the Cavern club in Liverpool. Their music style is light-rocky maroon 5/The Feeling but with more funky base attached. Their hit single "IN THE CITY" is very additive! They have 3 or 4 other pretty decent songs as well! They have somehow picked up a huge following which is quite difficult considering they are an unsigned band! Unsurprisingly all the major record companies are now sniffing around them. Their myspace page where you can hear the new single and download it from i-tunes link is on there. They have a massive gig headlining with KOOPA and state of the enemy tommorow which i might go to. Its nice to actually see a band come from nowhere for a change and beat the record companies....they are causing quite a stir to say the least as nobody has had a heads up about them!!! GO LAHAYNA!!!!
