Thanks for that :) Seems a bit slower than usual but he's very busy at the Shaftesbury theatre in Hairspray at the moment , which is amazing, Much of the recent promotion has focused on the show and there's also a dvd out to. November 30, 200718 yr As I have previously worked in a record stores, maybe I can answer this one...Be it an actual shop, or an on-line order thing, Stores pre-order a certain amount of copies of a single/album/dvd or whatever. The general public, go in, and decide that they would like to put in an order for a particular item, when it is officially released. The Shop/on-line store will have a computerised list, of what people have ordered, and the number of copies that have been ordered make up the pre-release chart. People have to pay for the item, before they get it...but sometimes just sometimes, the person that ordered the copy in the first place, doesn`t actually go back to collect it! Although an on-line order will be sent straight to the person`s address, when it is commercially released. Just seen this Trevs thanks for the reply.

November 30, 200718 yr Wrong, on most online shops, the order is payed when it gets shipped (Amazon, HMV, etc). That's why there's no "official" pre-release chart, because if two weeks before the release 1.000 people did preorder an album, you don't know how many will cancel their order the week after! So it couldn't make an official chart, because the figures wouldn't be reliable at all. Just catching up, thanks Xmas Bertie, that makes a lot of sense.
