I think Chasing Cars is the first single to appear in two consecutive year end top 40's since Angels by Robbie Williams in 1997/98.

I think there's been a few since then...

Sound Of The Underground by Girls Aloud was defintely in the top 40 for 2002 and 2003

What to believe?? 116k or 160k!

I would go with 116k because if Leona had got 160k she would be #1 in the album year to date chart :D

They added the deluxe album onto Back to Black though didn't they?

I thought Apologise was #16 on the year-end chart?

I think Shine was 18 but it says 17 here!

Oh never mind! It'll soon be Christmas!

Wow pleased mika's happy ending along with kaiser chiefs ruby and grace kelly and many others have gone up or reentered but sad that cascada, sugababes change and shayne ward breathless all fell

13 place climb for Britney with Blackout! :D

And why did Gimme More go up so much? :o

On longlevity note i saw Wham- Last Christmas with 40 weeks. If thats in the chart for a month over christmas then by 2010 it would have had a year.

quote from above:

40 16 29 Last Christmas, Wham! | 2

2-2-2-2-2-3-8-11-21-33-38-51-67 (1984-85)

32-10-6-6-14-36-68 (1985-86)

63-47-45-71 (1986-87)

50-23-14-16-40 (2007-08)

says 29 weeks on chart?? is 40 weeks for the top 100?

and of course its 1984/85 run was a double A side half way through its latter part of chart run (Everything She Wants 'remix')

Vacuum effect from all the Christmas songs dropping off.

Happy for a 6th week in top 10 for GA.

Hope the album stays top 40 for another 6 weeks.

Can anyone spot all the Timbaland tracks and the ones he has produced with in the year to date singles chart, talk about overload.

As were Eminem-Lose Yourself and Daniel Bedingfield-If You're Not The One.

The most recent examples are Shayne Ward-That's My Goal and Nizlopi-JCB Song which charted in 2005 and 2006 Year end charts. Also Take That-Patience does it this year too.

A Moment Like This was the first UK Million selling single by a solo female artist since Britney Spears - One More Time in 1999

It is also the first UK Million selling single by a UK solo female artist ever

A Moment Like This hasn't sold 1 million i think its just over 800,000 - Bleeding Love is creeping up on it rather quickly.

As Knightr634 has said, no UK female solo act has ever sold 1 million copies of a single. Though UK female artists have achieved the feat as part of:

1976 M Brotherhood Of Man Save Your Kisses For Me

1977 MM Paul McCartney & Wings Mull Of Kintyre / Girl's School

1981 M The Human League Don't You Want Me

1982 M Dexy's Midnight Runners Come On Eileen

1984 MMM Band Aid Do They Know It's Christmas

1983 (M) New Order Blue Monday

1996 M Spice Girls Wannabe

1996 M Spice Girls 2 Become 1

1997 M Various Artists Perfect Day

1997 M All Saints Never Ever

1998 M Steps Heartbeat / Tragedy

2001 M Hear'Say Pure And Simple

2004 M Band Aid 20 Do They Know It's Christmas?

Thanks to everyhit.com for the stats, don't think I've missed anyone.

So, despite being able to be downloaded since Eyes Open was released (May 2006), and there's some people who still haven't done so?

Putting the fact that it hasn't sold a million yet aside, didn't Kylie do it in 2001 with Can't Get You Out Of My Head?

Cascada are doing well. Never thought that would happen but i'm glad.
