The only reason I would want them to go to #1 is because theyare Canadian. The song's good, but it's not great.

No1 in the mids!

Im leaving the country :lame: Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They won't do it this week, Duffy is climbing VERY fast on iTunes (107 - 14 in 2 days) like Umbrella/Grace Kelly did so she will be #01 this week, as for next week H ''Two'' O or Duffy will EASILY take the topspot so I don't think we have anything to worry about!

Fingers crossed anyway! :D

toodle-de-do!

Only joking but it's better than that Basshunter song...

No, Rock Star is their highest charting single to date. How You Remind Me peaked at #4.

BTW I don't think either it will go to number 1. Already too many weeks on the chart and sales won't increase anymore significantly for them.

Famous last words perhaps, having seen the latest midweeks? :)

God yes. I would hate to see this going to number one something like 3 awful years after it was released. Just thinking about it makes me vomit a little in my mouth. Such a horrible song from such a horrible band.

IMO it would be my fav #1 since Kylie's 'Can't get You Out Of My Head'.

It does seem to be one of those 'love it or hate it' songs though...

An awful lot of people in this thread look like being proved wrong on Sunday.

It looks like my worst fears will come true unless Duffy can pull off a miracle on first week sales of downloads alone.

Go Nickleback!

And to those people saying it will be the worst number 1 ever "TRY LISTENING TO MORE THAN A DOZEN FORMER NUMBER 1s" - what about the $h!te Westlife have produced for a start not forgetting the X Factor bollocks!

And the Teletubbies, Aqua (1) and the Spice Girls (2).

(1) - Except Turn Back Time.

(2) - Except Viva Forever.

I have to say i love this song and am so pleased it is heading for #1 :yahoo: Might have to download again ;)
I know its getting in the way at the top end of the chart now, but i find it strange how no-one was bothered in the slightest it seemed when i first arrived

I guess that goes to show what a grower of a song it is?! And also the impact that downloads now have on the chart - A few years ago this would have been released as a CD single - Peaked outside the Top.40 and disappeared of the radar now with radio coming on board later the public have turned to downloads and turned this into a genuine huge hit :)

Hey imagine if we still had the ten week rule. It would have got to #19, slip a little to #25 and then it would still be no.1 on itunes and everything but nowhere on the chart

I'd rather listen to every Westlife number one than just one note of Chad Kroeger's awful voice.

Actually yes im joining the crowd, im starting to really dislike this now
