Posted July 11, 200817 yr Just a fun poll :P Which room would you consider is normally depicted as scary? Or which room you'd feel scared to walk in if you were in a haunted house or something :D
July 11, 200817 yr I went for Basement - it is dark, down stairs and then underground with only 1 way out :lol: I would say a Garage and Attic would be pretty creepy too though.
July 12, 200817 yr Tbh I don't find 'Scary House Scenes' scary at all. :lol: Out in the open, where there isn't a single living soul around for MILES. Now that's scary.
July 13, 200817 yr The basement... It's underground, dark, an almost womb-like space.. Or else a burial pit... There is real dread about being trapped in a basement... Look at the ending of the original "Night of the Living Dead".... The sense of terrifying hopelessness the character feels is almost unbearable.... There is possible escape from an attic, from a basement, there is only darkness, horror, dread and despair....

July 23, 200816 yr The Basements become a horror movie Cliche at this point......so I'd have to say the kitchen, think about it all those knives just waiting to be used by a madman. :o
