September 20, 200816 yr I can appreciate a good male vocalist, singing any genre, I like a lot of Ne-Yo and Kanye West songs but Nelly and R Kelly are both atrocious in every way
September 20, 200816 yr There quite a few male artists i like such as Lemar, Robbie, Ne-Yo and even Chris Brown. Most of the one's in this rate are atrocious though.
September 20, 200816 yr The fact that 'Walk This Way' finished in the bottom half is enough to show that a really bad song by the Buzzjack favourites wont necessarily do well. The fans themselves even hate this one.
September 20, 200816 yr I don't see the problem. No-one can deny that The Way To Your Love is the superior masterpiece :manson: I love loads of male artists and indie in the main, but The Way To Your Love is a superb pop song imo. Of course Remix Ignition is a superb song of its type too, so meh to my argument, but what I am trying to say is that I appreciate good songs from most genres.
September 20, 200816 yr Either way if there's a song not by a female in the top 10 I'll be surprised. When I ran this on another site the top 5 was made up of Gnarls Barkley, Nelly Furtado, Roger Sanchez, Sugababes and Gorillaz. One of the easiest things to predict is that the top 5 won't be anywhere near as varied or good as that!

Sadly you are right, but I do hope the increasing number of indie/rock/alternative lovers here may push some non female fluff higher up!
September 20, 200816 yr Whilst it'll do ok I can't see it breaking that high. In TiPs Decade Rate '...Dancefloor' came #5 IIRC?! Whereas in that you're only voting for what you love and an indie song was rare it would've picked up a lot of high votes whereas the female pop would've been spread out a hell of a lot. In this though it'll have plenty of low marks dragging down the average. Top 30 perhaps, top 20 at a push. Same for 'Crazy' I thing.

September 20, 200816 yr If it's Katy bloody Perry then I'll have officially lost all hope with the world. I don't want it to be her. :puke2:

September 20, 200816 yr A mixture of good and bad there. JCB Song and Las Ketchup definatly shoudnt have got that high. Edited September 20, 200816 yr by The 411.
September 20, 200816 yr I still love Mad World and the JCB song - both great alternative Christmas songs.
September 21, 200816 yr JCB Song is total AMAZEMENT  I'm happy it got as high as it did. Shame they're only ognna be one hit wonders though :(
September 21, 200816 yr Videos added. Actually I just listened to the JCB Song again after some years. It is such a nice song :D
September 22, 200816 yr Author Sorreh, been too buzzeh to do this, I'll carry on with it in the next couple of daayz :D
September 22, 200816 yr That's sad and sexist <_< It is totally :( Welcome to Buzzjack. or maybe it's because that R Kelly song in particular is horrendous. I think most of the male R&B songs that have appeared so far, except 'Over And Over' and 'Stronger' are just generic and generally forgettable #1s. I know there is a huge bias towards female artists on the website (I'm one of those people, admittedly) but it's just how the majority of users are - if Britney/GA/Sugababes etc. is what appeals to their ears. It's no use suggesting that they should prefer R Kelly, Oasis and others because it's not going to change anything. The fact that 'Walk This Way' finished in the bottom half is enough to show that a really bad song by the Buzzjack favourites wont necessarily do well. As for the male R&B artists, I will be interested to see how 'Closer' does here - I'd be surprised if that didn't do well because it's good and it should still be fresh in the minds of people. To be honest, I'm surprised Closer hasn't appeared yet, I'm sure it will soon. I take your point in that most of the tracks that have appeared haven't been anything special, but consider some of the stuff that is still to appear (have ANY of the S Club 7 schmaltz-fests appeared yet? Or "Stomp"? Or "Eternal Flame"? "Stickwitu"? Hopefully I just missed them, correct me if I'm wrong)... It's not even just R&B males, it's ALL males bar Robbie and Will Young really. "Mad World" and "Dry Your Eyes" appearing already is pretty ridiculous, when you consider most of the pap still to come. Either way if there's a song not by a female in the top 10 I'll be surprised. When I ran this on another site the top 5 was made up of Gnarls Barkley, Nelly Furtado, Roger Sanchez, Sugababes and Gorillaz. One of the easiest things to predict is that the top 5 won't be anywhere near as varied or good as that! I don't see Gnarls Barkley even making top 50 here. Roger Sanchez and Gorillaz maybe have an outisde chance, but slim. Same with "Dakota", another of the best #1s this decade but largely ignored by Buzzjack because it wasn't Kylie.
