Holy c**p the amount of huge releases staggers me. And i agree completely with you except there may be a shock in the middle, i'm not sure though.

Foo Fighters Best Of might not make number one however I wouldn't be at all surprised to see its year-end sales eclipse many of the above albums.

edit: (that's if they release one. i thought they were though there's only a 'tba' single scheduled)

AC/DC could provide some competition to Kaiser Chiefs...

I wouldn't be suprised if Foo Fighter's Best Of beat Oasis to the top either... could be similar to Oasis' and Westlife's chart battle two years ago, only with the Foos' coming out on top. The week after that though, maybe the other could go to the top, or Stereophonics might get to #1 with their Best Of.

Stereophonics are releasing a best of? I thought they already had one. It's called 'Word Gets Around'.

Those dates are a bit out if you don't mind me saying so. KOL is out next Monday, 22nd so should be No.1 on Sunday 28th and not Oct 4th. Then Will Young's out 29th so should be top on Sun. 5th Oct. Personally I think James Morrison could give him a good run for his money. Then Oasis is out 6th Oct so should be top on Mon 12th. Snow Patrol release on 27th Oct and Dido 3rd Nov so both those two should be No.1 the following Sundays.

If Take That release Monday 1st Dec. as Music Week says, then I think it'll be the No.1 from Sun. 7th right through to New Year.

I think vidcapper's dates refer to the date of the chart as it will be in Music Week. If they are, vidcapper's dates are correct, ie, you add 12 days to the date of release to get the official Music Week chart date.

Oh right then. Sorry, my mistake.

I think it could be Will Young vs James Morrison too.

I think Kings of Leon may hold for a second week and deny both of them .

There is one of them that is absolutely wrong. Westlife are not releasing an album at all this year. They are on a years break from july this year until july next year, so their next album will be released until next october/november time. Its the first time in 10 years that the lads have not released an album. The only thing they are releasing at the end of this year is the dvd of their sold out 10th anniversary concert held in the croke park stadium dublin in front of 85,000 fans!

Well Manickangaroo has it down on his New Release Schedule for 17th Nov. I thought they weren't releasing anything ths year either.

I hope so although I don't like KoL or James Morrison all that much (Both new singles though are really good - yes i've actually grown to like the KoL song -_-) I just want one of them to deny Will Young from going to the Top. I've only ever liked 'Leave Right Now' & 'Who Am I?' but all the other efforts are just :puke: and his new one is absoloute rubbish -_-

Yea. There is no way westlife are releasing anything this year at all. Im a big fan and would have known about it already. lol. It has to be a mistake or maybe just an assumption that they will release an album because they have done every year lol

I think another Greatest Hits was originally scheduled.

For westlife?

they were supposed to be doing another greatest hits last year, but they didnt want to as they wanted another studio album of original material, apart for the 3 covers on it. lol

^ Yes, Westlife's Greatest Hits Vol 2 appears to have been pulled from the release schedules.

Anyway, here are my predictions for what they are worth:

Week (Monday) of release:

22nd Sep : Kings Of Leon – Only By The Night

29th Sep : Will Young – Let It Go

6th Oct : Oasis – Dig Out Your Soul

13th Oct : Keane – Perfect Symmetry

20th Oct : Leon Jackson – Right Now :puke:

27th Oct : Snow Patrol - One Hundred Million Suns

3rd Nov : Dido – Safe Trip Home

10th Nov : Dido – Safe Trip Home (Assuming it is not critically panned)

17th Nov : Dido – Safe Trip Home (Assuming it is not critically panned)

24th Nov : Rhydian Roberts - TBA

1st Dec : Take That - TBA *

* Until the end of the year, unless it is panned, then the Killers, Snow Patrol or Dido might claim the top spot

Looks like I will be buying a fair few albums in the next couple of months! :o
