October 31, 200816 yr It was great Shame it's over :( No better way to end it really. I liked it. I think there was a hidden meaning to it though... I think so too - the last few scenes especially, when it was focusing on CCTV cameras all around the place... Veronica was my favourite: Look, babes, BABES!
October 31, 200816 yr FANTASTIC End to a FANTASTIC Show! Well done Dead Ltd :heehee: It was fantastic!
October 31, 200816 yr Excellent ending - as someone already said, it was the only ending they could have had.....
November 1, 200816 yr I think the end was abit too rushed, they should of made it an hour episode like the opening one. lol.. clare was right... you WERE watching it! the bit i saw (the end) was rubbish, but maybe ive missed the point. (like, all other episodes)
November 1, 200816 yr bollocks.... just go to the Dead Set website and then the 'get infected' page and then the unseenscreen link  That was amazing :o Really good. Would've been good as a film too. Patrick's death was amazing. He was still shouting even though he appeared to be detached below his ribs and had chunks of his head being eatan  . I disagree, there should've been a few survivors really, but then the last 2 minutes wouldn't be so good.
November 1, 200816 yr I loved Dead Set but I thought the ending was a bit c**p. Also kind of predictable :( I think some should have lived
November 1, 200816 yr I'm happy it ended the way it did, I was expecting one of them AT LEAST to be alive, but I'm glad they made it so there were no survivors, I just think, this ISN'T going to be the end for some reason...
November 1, 200816 yr lol.. clare was right... you WERE watching it! of course... it's zombies, you make it out like it was a suprise that i did watch it. For me not to have watched it would of been more unexpected for me. Patrick's death was amazing. He was still shouting even though he appeared to be detached below his ribs Reminded me alot of this WARNING, NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED OR YOUNG bF7Ccd56LAM Like captain Rhodes, Patrick's last words should of been 'choke on them'.
November 2, 200816 yr Am I glad I did not watch this show at all until Saturday night on E4 when it ran over 2.5 Hours as a film where it flowed so well. I honestly think Channel 4 would have made a very successful cult movie if it had been released as a film to cinema. I loved this from beginning to end. Very Lord Of The Flies / Big Brother  The ending was superb although slightly predictable (good to see not a happy ending in sight as that would have spoilt it for me) with the clear moral pay off that we are all being turned into brain dead zombies by believing what the media tells us and what we watch on TV, etc.
November 2, 200816 yr Absolutely brilliant, nail-biting, nerve-shredding stuff from beginning to end.. And the very "Romero-esque" sub-text that we have Zombies ON Big Brother as opposed to Zombies who WATCH Big Brother is a similar idea to the one Romero proposed about consumerism and the 'shop til you drop' culture with "Dawn of the Dead", so brains as well as a significant amount of Horror brawn... Horror works at its best when it works in an allegorical framework in many ways... The original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "28 Days Later", Frank Darabont's excellent working of Stephen King's "The Mist" and "Night of the Living Dead" also do this... Watching this back to back as opposed to episodes is indeed the best way to do it, because there truly is no escape or respite from the Horror, you HAVE to see it through to the end.. Contrast this to the hoary, unimaginitive "Saw V", and you will see just how the Horror genre should be done... The sight of a Zombie-fied Davina McCall will stay with me forever.... I think.... 10/10, Short-drama series of the Year, probably could've been Horror Film of the Year had they put it on a big screen with digital surround sound.....
November 2, 200816 yr 1 of the best things ive seen on telly in years. loved it. the end was amazing yet at the same time not. it would have been better to end it with her in the diary room or something, abit of a cliff hanger. i did love the ending, i just felt depressed at it. also,m it made me feel like i watched it for 5 days for that! for everyone to be dead. yeah i think i would have liked it better if 1 or 2 survived, so then they would have prob made a 2nd series as well. now if they do make a 2nd series it'll be a new cast :0(
November 3, 200816 yr of course... it's zombies, you make it out like it was a suprise that i did watch it. For me not to have watched it would of been more unexpected for me. Reminded me alot of this WARNING, NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED OR YOUNG bF7Ccd56LAM Like captain Rhodes, Patrick's last words should of been 'choke on them'. Patrick's was better. This guy came apart too easily  . Thanks for sharing though ;) I actually think the combined gore and the funniness of it all makes it in my top 3 horror deaths of all time  (maybe a bit of an inapproapiate emoticon there :P ) They seriously need to show this on C4 Edited November 3, 200816 yr by Harve
November 10, 200816 yr i think i would have liked it better if 1 or 2 survived, so then they would have prob made a 2nd series as well. now if they do make a 2nd series it'll be a new cast :0( Nah, I dont really think there should be a second "series" to be honest... Best to just keep it as a glorious 'one-off'.. You couldn't really have the "Big Brother" element anyway, the studio ended up being totally over-run by the undead.... The best Zombie films come away with endings which make you feel a bit empty and depressed... Look at how "Night of the Living Dead" (original) ended, a really gloomy, depressing finale, the black and white end-credit still shots are really quite harrowing....
November 26, 200816 yr CHARLIE BROOKER IS PURE GENIUS!!! I don't know why they've stuck his show on bbc4?! c4 should snap him up I recons! x
December 29, 200816 yr I have the DVD :smoke: I'm sure you do but i'm just concerned for the people who haven't seen it yet and may be educated on a week on Tuesday :smoke:
