I just love that performance - i don't care they mimed. It seems that pop music has come back to putting on a show!

Same agree with @Juranamo too was obsessed with Shine on.forever though (dunno if the rumour was true that it would of actually charted higher but had some missing sales / downloads not counted ) W

I dont think its a bad thing that they mimed!! How could they have danced liked that and sang live??

On a show where its all about singing live to prove your talent, they really shouldnt have been allowed to waltz on with those $h!tty mic's and badly mime - its just plain lazy and were going back to the days of Steps, they needed to step off on the right foot and they have just opened themselves to even more critisism.
Despite my hatred for them last year, im starting to like We Are One now.
It's possible to tone down the dancing and sing live, you don't need to choose one over the other. Besides, if they were truly good they'd be able to do both.

I was listening to this song this morning and it occurred to me that I don't think I've ever heard about anyone irl who has even heard it when I play it!

Still gutted this song got precisely zero airplay, relying solely on an x factor performance to chart... I know bubblegum pop really wasn't in vogue at that point (outside of High School Musical, which was already on its last legs by then anyway), but it really is a PERFECT pop song and deserves to be a modern classic! 😍

Their debut album was mostly solid, even if half of it were cheaply produced covers, but there were a couple of other great tracks on "Pop" too ('All the Roads Last to Heaven', in particular). And, after Syco dropped them, they followed it with their mostly FANTASTIC second album - "The Rest Is History" - which was completely slept on, of course... (not releasing 'Karma Karma' as the lead single remains such a misfire... Though I would have eaten my foot if anything gained any traction at that point. 🤣)

I respect the fact they played to their strengths and knew what their audience was. Maybe it was just unfortunate timing in that it wasn't what people were looking for in the pop world at that time.

I did like We R One, and it's the only original of theirs I really gelled with.
