Its practically outselling Duffy's biggest sales week for this year :o

If GA clears 75k+ they be first week biggest sales of the year :o

Martin, i quote you from the promise poll thread "if the track gets 40k I eat my hat, but I doubt it as the physical single is practically dead that's if you can find the single anywhere, at a shove between 25-30k, and that's pushing the boat out a bit."

Have you got the hat ready? :P

 LOL, I'll forgotten all about that, I get myself an edible chocolate hat tomorrow :P

Well I didn't think it match their other catchy tunes I was so wrong, I wouldn't call the track very catchy like some of their previous hits.

I can't believe how high Girls Aloud's sales are! Hot N Cold top 10! :cheer:

Believe it baby.... :D

Sales for GA have certainly out-performed my expectations. I'm disappointed with Sugababes performance of their latest single & album. Although I'm not a big fan of "girls", the album contains some good tracks.

Also - well done to Katy Perry for top10 again - a week after her other single left the top10. This song isnt released until 23rd November, so will probably hang around for a bit and do well. Its a really catchy song - it's a shame the rest of the album isnt as good.

What a ridiculous excuse. Why would the recession ONLY be affecting would-be Sugababes fans? It's a very interesting economic theory, perhaps you should alert Gordon Brown?

The album's doing poorly, because they lead with a poor, uninspired rip-off of a single.

And this is coming from someone who has usually LOVED the Sugababes.

Maybe pop fans don't have very good jobs? Whereas indie/rock fans who'll buy Kings Of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs and AC/DC are all intelligent and as a result will earn more. And housewives who buy Leon are just using their husbands credit cards on their weekly visit to Tesco!

well thats not a very nice thing to say to pop fans, quite insulting acutally!!

That was humour obviously, and thought it was rather funny in an ironic perspective

Does anyone know how much Duffy sold by Thursday too during the week of her 72k?

GA sold 24k on Sunday/Monday, 12k on Tuesday, and 9k on Wednesday. I think they could sell 7k on Thursday and 7k on Friday, and with the JR appareance on Friday night they could do about 12k on Saturday again! That would make about 72k in total! It's gonna be very close to compete Duffy's sales! :o

even though it may be considered as "funny" i still think its a dig at anyone who likes pop music, by saying that they are stupid.

Yeah I found it funny too actually. It was irony, you should not feel offended.

Duffy / GA sales battle !

Tuesday: 20k / 24k (+4k for GA)

Wednesday: 30k / 36.5k (+6.5k for GA)

Thursday: ? / 45.9k

Friday: 47.5k / ?

End of week: 72k / ?

:o

It looks rather good for GA considering their sales in Thursday midweeks are nearly as high as Duffy sales were in Friday update :o :o :o

I have to say the sales for GA are fantastic :o

It would be good if GA outsold duffys week but i'm not that bothered. The number 1 is good enough.
