Every Heart Broken is definatly the best song on the album, but i have strong doubts it would have done any better than Girls really.

Murder One would have done a IKAG imo, sold on a wave of controversy. Especially if they had a video that followed the lyrics.

 

It wouldn't have had the longevity of IKAG at #1, as quite obviously it has no bass beat, and IKAG was a massive club song

Controversy does not sell a song though? 'I Kissed a Girl' did well because it was anthemic and had a very good hook. People don't just listen to a song and think: "ooh that's a bit taboo, a bit risque" *downloads*.

 

That's such an ignorant view to take on chart music because I don't think anyone can honestly say they do that or indeed know anyone who does that?

^Any controversial song that didn't chart well (except for Ur So Gay by Katy Perry itself)?

i think they're definitely in the top 20......as far as the t10, they are not that solid. The fact that there hasnt been much promotion doesn't help
