December 3, 200816 yr Inner Massivia's "Some Kind Of Fool Tour" hits Skall On the eighth day of their "Some Kind Of Fool" tour Inner Massivia arrived in sumptious Skall to play a concert in the capital city Blamalearoch. First up on the day was our entry into this month's XIIth contest, Leona Lewis with her collaboration with MC Anon, Fool: c5-Pf3SS10E Leona bows to the crowd. As she walks off she announces: "First up is a great new band from the town of St Albans, it's Friendly Fires": B-vTYeArywk On stage next is the brilliant Bloc Party: duWzGoCwWOs And now, incredibly, it's The Jam who have reformed for a one-off performance of "Town Called Magic": 9LIzG0MUv3g In a town called Blamalearoch the fans are going wild. Leona returns for the last song of the evening: 0wfblWJ1qhk A great reception for Leona and all her guest artists. Inner Massivia would like to pass on their thanks to the people of Skall for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. We hope they enjoyed the concert and we wish them in BJSC XII as we both make our debuts. Edited December 4, 200816 yr by 6weeksatnumber7
December 3, 200816 yr Author Thanks for visiting! First performance for a while. Friendly Fires & Bloc Party  . Will listen to Fool when i have proper speakers even though i don't think its in my semi final.
December 4, 200816 yr Friendly Fires aren't from Reading. ;o Thanks have sussed the mix-up - a mate who works in St Albans but lives in Reading introduced me to them. Must have subconciously swapped the towns.
December 7, 200816 yr Author Skall wait anxiously for the results, fearing that they will be on the borderline between qualification or not. They hope that their voting won't accidently knock themselves out, otherwise the the Minister of Culture might just consider suicide :(
December 7, 200816 yr Author Skall have released the number of votes for each song, without disclosing the song of course. There was an 100% turnout :o 2332 2301 M.K.L Kandi Don't Think I'm Not 2087 1665 1567 1278 1267 1201 1009 Utopia LCD Soundsystem All My Friends 2 1002 Hitanya Little Shop Of Horrors Skid Row 1 999 Wondergirls Nobody 0 998 997 994 713 624 554 487 422 398 344 1000 votes were needed to get points! December 7, 200816 yr Author Skall are over the moon at their qualification, and Feeder's :P The results of those who didn't qualify are posted above. Unfortunately i've lost my document that i saved the scores on and can't remember the exact positions of others who didn't qualify. They were below all the ones i've posted though.
December 8, 200816 yr Nonsuch BJSC XII: Lisa Miskovsky - Still Alive Swedish singer songwriter Lisa arrives in Skall to perform her haunting (think Andrea Corr singing with Coldplay) entry for Nonsuch at this BJSC as part of her whistle stop World Tour. She also performs one of her older more indie-rock sounding hits from native Sweden: Lisa Miskovsky - Driving One Of Your Cars
December 15, 200816 yr Author Skall are pleased with their result. Although we have missed our target of 21st it has been agreed that the the people of Skall got a bit overconfident after qualifying. 22nd is an excellent debut, finishing in the top half of the field. Full results of SF1 voting and Final voting will be published tommorow. BJSC XIII selection has been whittled down to 3 songs, the first are the amazing songs of: One Republic- Sleep http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=96BAdNozO3M 96BAdNozO3M This is the personal favourite of the year of Despot Harve. His views are shared throughout the nation, despite only being premiered less than a month ago. Analysts think that this may have potential to be very successful, although it is very likely that it may flop  . Skall hopes that, should this be chosen that non-rock fans will appreciate the emotion put into this song and the epicness of it. Justice- Stress http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=i5S0dkLZoTg i5S0dkLZoTg This song has been known to the people of Skall for many months now. It is one of the most successful songs in Skall of the year. It may be a silly option if we are aiming to do well, however, it may be an option if the people of Skall wish to tell people worldwide about this awesome song. Qualfication is almost impossible. Tracey Thorn- Its All True http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vlJbTxelw6k vlJbTxelw6k This is a song released internationally throughout Buzzjack (i.e. it recieved a minor release in the UK), however, not enough attention was bought to it. In buzzjack this song attracted little attention. A researcher searched for this song using the powers of google.sk and found a topic about this, but it had just 3 replies. This is sung by a woman and has a definate 80's vibe. It is was a big hit in Skall in mid 2007, when there was no chart established there and if the people of Skall were aiming for success this would probably be the song. Any thoughts pretty please? December 15, 200816 yr :( Harve, why Rape my ears with that Justice song? :( Tracey Thornes O.K But can't imagine it doing too well ;) but Buzzjack is so unpredictable now so who knows  OneRepublic  but i'm not sure how liked OneRepublic are on here :( I think it could sail through the semi's but get a bit lost in the final! Plus they're a male band
December 15, 200816 yr Author :( Harve, why Rape my ears with that Justice song? :( Tracey Thornes O.K But can't imagine it doing too well ;) but Buzzjack is so unpredictable now so who knows  OneRepublic  but i'm not sure how liked OneRepublic are on here :( I think it could sail through the semi's but get a bit lost in the final! Plus they're a male band  Thanks for the input. I just thought that Frankmusik and La Roux did well and they were vaguely 80's esque, maybe Tracey Thorn can too :heehee:, but i guess that doesn't guarantee success because like you say its unpredictable. If i hype One Republic up loads they might do well too, it took me about 10 listens to fully appreciate it, and i doubt anyone will listen to it 10 times. Plus its rather more rock than rock-pop that One Republic normally are imo.
December 15, 200816 yr Author For those that are interested here are the complete rankings of Semi Final 1 of BJSC XII. The first First number shows number of individual votes cast, and the 2nd number shows the number of points recieved, if any. There was an 100% turnout with all 23,239 citizens of Skall voting. December 15, 200816 yr Author only 398 people have a music taste? In Skall ;) . I remember saying that RBW might even get points from me, so i kinda feel bad for you being so far off the points. My thoughts throughout my listens: 1st listen - WTF at these clashing chords? 2nd Listen - OK i appreciate the DIY Popness of it, this is quite good. 3rd Listen - But now i realise that despite that it isn't that good at all. 4th Listen- This is poor
December 18, 200816 yr Author Skall's Final Voting. Sorry if its messy, copying from crappy versions of Excel doesn't work :drama:. Again 1000 votes were needed to achieve points.
