I don't know if anyone's heard this yet, but I think if anything is going to stop worst-case-scenario-Eggnog-best-case-scenario-Alexandra being Christmas number one, Peter Kay's comic creation Geraldine with "her" Christmas song, may just be the one to do it.

 

 

Personally I love it, it's fun, it's funny and it has totally the right Christmas vibe, which I'm pretty sure Hallelujah won't. it's just a pity that the promotion of it has been quite low-key,e sepecially by Peter's standards...

Think there's either a repeat or a new version of that Britain's Got The Pop Factor on tonight before the video premiere. I was looking at channel 4's listings for something and swore I read it.

I think it'll get to number 3 and a very respectable position it'll be if it does. There is a video it was on GMTV this morning as Geraldine was being interviewed (and it was hilarious). As people are pointing out, even though ALL proceeds go to the NSPCC nothing will stop the SPOPTSCBB (Society For The Protection Of Proceeds To Simon Cowell's Bank Balance) charity - otherwise known as the X-Factor song and I should imagine Leona will be pretty hard to shift from number 2.

 

I like it but not as much as Geraldine's heartwarming ballad from the Britain's Got The Pop Factor, etc, etc show.

I've looked through the TV Guide and firstly, I believe it's the original show that's repeated this Sunday 14th, on Channel 4 at 8pm :dance: and the follow up is on Friday 19th on Channel 4 at 9pm :cheer:

Funny you should say that - but Kate Garaway asked Geraldine about Peter Kay this morning ... and she said the same as you - that she thought 'that fella from Bolton' was not funny at all! :lol:
