I've just done an I-Tunes serch on "merry christmas" and I've found amongst other things "Wombling Merry Christmas" etc...

 

I'm not surprised in a big dip in post Christmas Day christmassy downloads, just a little bemused and disappointed :huh:

I imagine nearly everyone still has christmas trees and decorations up!

It looks like physicals have generally held up better in the past, after the 25th.

Is it just a modern phenomena or is it just something about downloads that lends to a steeper drop after christmas day I wonder?

iTunes itself hasn't updated (at least for me). In their front page they have Mariah, Pogues and Geraldine still in the top 10 :lol:

The ratings may seem poor, but don't forget that's 3 million households as many people would be watching it on the same TV! Because I am sure loads of people were with their families whilst watching ;)

I think ratings are calculated using just 6,000 people in about 2,500 households i think. They have a box on their TV and they program what they're watching and how many people are watching it. Imo its a bad method.
