The first one that sprung to mind for me without reading this thread was Janet's Feedback! #111 was it? Ridiculous!

I think the Feeling flopped far too much this year, or seem to remember so. Their songs were actually really good, in my opinion. I bought their new album in the Woolworths sale the other day so I'll give it a listen today, but I really did like their singles.

I Thought It Was Over was good but compared to most of the first album it just didnt compare. Without You was also possibly one of the dullest songs on the album and an insane choice of 2nd single.

Agreed with this point, the fact that it was even allowed on the album baffles me :drama:

Join With Us so should have been second single...i think I Thought It Was Over deserved lead as it caught alot of peoples attention :magic:

Agreed, Join With Us definatly should have been second if not the lead

But it's not as energetic as I Thought It Was Over...so wouldn't have been as instant tbh...Join With Us needed a little time to grow ^_^

I Thought It Was Over is way more catchy then Join With Us. It sticks in your head more, but I cant even remember Without You, it must have been that poor.

The Feeling definitely made the right call with I Thought It Was Over, it was the best track they had. Pity the rest of the album wasn't as good...

Jordin Sparks - Tattoo

Janet Jackson - Feedback

Alanis Morisette!

She really needs to leave Maverick A.S.A.P

The first two thoroughly deserved the flop, both awful, generic songs.

I'm with you on Alanis though...you'd think given how much she earnt them from one album they would push her a bit more, she has potential to sell a lot more than she is now, but there is just NO promotion at all.

Of course A Punk is amazing, but it's peak was fine. Its still the 2nd biggest song by them and it was released twice ^_^

dont you can say it flopped...one of the songs of the year..tho annoying me now...new logic is needed for a mostly download chart...as obv even tho it doesnt have a top ten chart pos it would have powered the album sales up...

The Feeling shouldnt have flopped. I quite enjoyed their second album, but I think the singles weren't promoted or commercial enough to be hits which is a huge shame. Makes me mad twats like Coldplay are big with dross :(
'Turn It Up' was the best (and only really decent) track from the second album era I thought, although even that didn't compare to most of the first album's singles...

Roisin - You Know Me Better. It's not as if the public disliked it or anything, they never bloody heard it! It peaked at #99 on the airplay chart I think, and even then the song at #100 had received over a hundred plays and Roisin had been played six times I think, just at a peaktime with more listeners. Barely anybody at all within the industry supported the poor girl. That said she was a fool for going with Overpowered (very much an album track) as a single, and I'm dubious about Let Me Know, though it did get top 30. I guess she was never going to sell because she's such an obscurity, but still... [/ramblings]

Sugababes - No Can Do. Obv. Much-discussed, to me it's simply a great pop song. It's so instant and it really doesn't get old either - and that outro! Big shame.

There are loads and loads more too, but it's 1.35. Too late a time for THINKING.

Oooh, if Jason Mraz's I'm Yours is at Top 40 later, I'll cut the crap out my flop-but-shouldn't post. :D

Christina didn't deserve to flop with KGB but not really sure if it was a flop as it did peak at #14. PCD also didn't with IHTP which only hit #12 (it deserved to get into Top 5)
