Haha and I feel like that with another song in this contest for the first time, I don't think it's hard to guess which, I just didn't want to potentially flop with it. :lol:

or bashing the whole final for the contest you missed out on. :lol:

 

I think Camille is the only one I didn't like.

You know what? I think people have started deliberately not voting for him to extend the joke that his non-qualifications has turned into....

I did quite like a lot of the songs in the top ten of X - PNAU, Lady GaGa, Camille being the main three but I don't understand the wave of support for the alternative music which swung right back round for XI to allow a top three of Lenka, Suzie McNeil and Pixie, who couldn't be further away from the type of acts who did well in X...and then in XII we had three elctro-pop songs in the top three...

 

it's odd how each contest will throw up it's own 'genre' doing well...I would assume we have swung back round to pure pop this time as Agnes and Lights will surely walk it

Everybody was moaning how poor quality SF1 was, that probably makes my song poor quality in most peoples opinions? Ughh its so bizzare Kicks flopped so badly, I will probably send something like Lady Gaga vs Lady Gaga or Rihanna - Shut Up And Bow. Seems like sending an already known/already qualified artist/cheap always works. . if only i could have gotten jody onto youtube :rolleyes:

Hopefully it'll change. The SF2 entrants were so Pop dominated, only Quotosibbs entry and Skall's weren't if i remember right. Nonsuch and Alein Alein (forgot the name of the country) were quite alternative.

No belittling intended. I found probably only 4 NEW discoveries out of this contest that I somewhat liked, where some artists have been sent 2 or 3 times now since the start of the contest. Each getting a predictable auto qualification 90% of the time.. That is quite cheap IMO

All the ones I voted for in Semi 1 are thru, you can blame me for Deandria :drama:

Well the top 3 for X wasn't that alternative at all. Brandy, Lady GaGa and The Saturdays made up the top three. :lol: There were a few more alternative songs in the top 10 than usual but M.I.A. and PNAU were a bit more accessible than Camille or The Knife I would say.

I think you will find most countries go for relative unknowns. When GaGa did well in this contest she was very unknown. Don't just assume that peopel don't put thought into their entries because they do, and there are very few 'cheap' entries now. So no, that does not always work.

Oh yeah and Peter I know you're reading this...
