fantastic for Lily who I had initially feared would be a one album wonder

even better for Alesha who after Knockdown, I thought that was the last we'd seen of her pop career...the wonders of Strictly Come Dancing!

Thanks Martin. That's actually up on last week if you discount the two new entries. Doing very well finally. Apparently BS at No1 in Germany this week too

Wonder if this will be James' next single. Hope so. Performed on the Ellen DeGeneres show in the US last night. Brilliant performance.

also very pleased for Shontelle, who's on her way up  and The Fray who I thought would never have another top 40 hit...

this chart looks almost identical to iTunes chart, it's becoming even more of a dominating force than ever before!

Before Jark asks what position is Shontelle the anwser is 10+10+10= :P

BTW, has Mraz's album slided atm?

down 2

Holy cow for White Lies. Down 4... :(

Think you've overestimated their appeal a bit. Remember last week you were predicting they'd shift over 100k when they eventually did around 28k which was the lowest debut at #1 in the last ten years.

Bruce Springsteen and Franz Ferdinand look set to land new entries at the top of the albums chart this Sunday, with Working On A Dream (Columbia) and Tonight (Domino) respectively.

Last week’s number one, White Lies’ To Lose My Life (Fiction) should secure a second week in the top five, behind Kings Of Leon’s Only By The Night (Hand Me Down) and Lady Gaga’s The Fame (Interscope).

The Rifles’ Great Escape (sixsevenine) should also secure a top twenty placing.

On the singles chart, Lily Allen’s The Fear (Parlophone), currently A listed at Radios One and Two, is set to enter at number one, far outselling its nearest competitor, Lady Gaga’s Just Dance (Polydor).

Tommy Reilly’s Gimme A Call (A&M) should also challenge for a top ten placing

It's obvious that they will not shift over 100k.

But never mind, still they shifted below 30k... :(

It was your prediction, not mine ;)

Great news for Lily :D

I'm really surprised that The Fame has had such huge staying power, I expected it to bomb down the charts after debuting at three.

Its so good to have a new #1 Lady GaGa has had her time, let's see how long she can stay there, the only acts that could budge her are U2 or Empire Of The Sun

What a fantastic chart this will will turn out to be!

Leona and Alesha doing amazing! :cheer:

U2, sure. I love EOTS but I still can't see them getting number one single! Why are you so sure?

Oh my for CL... :(

I'm not that bothered now tbh! I'm just so happy it managed to crawl its way back up from a low of #87 to #9 over the past few weeks
