February 8, 200917 yr 28 (from 68) Coldplay - Life In Technicolour II [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/R6766.JPG Chart Run: 68-28 [2 wks] Release date: 2-2-2009 Format: SS [7" only] Catalogue Number: R6766 Label: PARLOPHONE In 2000, Coldplay emerged seemingly out of nowhere to become a worldwide smash with their debut album PARACHUTES and hit single "Yellow". While often associated with the Britpop crowd, they favoured a more thoughtful, melodic, Travis-esque piano-centric pop approach than arena-rock chest-beaters like Oasis. Led by charismatic frontman Chris Martin, the band expanded its horizons (and its fanbase) throughout the 2000s, while remaining true to its basic form. One of the only British rock bands of their era to make a major impact on the US charts, Coldplay proved that simple, memorable, straightforward pop-rock can still be striking even in the post-everything 21st century - HMV Video here: track listing 1. Too bad this might be the finally commerical single from Coldplay not to make the top ten since the debut hit "Shiver" came out in the beginning of the decade.
February 8, 200917 yr The rest of Europe is getting Bottle Pop as a third single. Well, Germany anyway. :P Fantastic! Magic or Elevator for 4th European single, and I'll be happy :)
February 8, 200917 yr these 1 minute mixes are unnecessary for slow-tempo albums, it only works with an album that has "force" to it

Hi redsox :D Lost! was released before LITii and only peaked at 54 so they have already missed out :(
February 8, 200917 yr I hope Britney's 'Circus' can make the top 10 next week, I really like it and it's SO much better than 'Womanizer'.
February 8, 200917 yr Fantastic! Magic or Elevator for 4th European single, and I'll be happy :) They're my two favourite off of the album along with 'Halo' :D. Hopefully one of them will be released as the 4th single here, but I'm thinking we'll get 'Bottle Pop' next seeing as it has a video and all.
February 8, 200917 yr Author Great for Fleet Foxes. I wonder how much Franz Ferdinand have fallen... I suspected they would fall loads, but not out of the top 10! :o
February 8, 200917 yr 15 (from 13) Britney Spears - Circus [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697455282.JPG Chart Run: 32-39-60-48-43-24-17-17-13-15 [10 wks] Release date: 16-2-2009 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697455282 Label: RCA In the late 1990s, Madonna had long since become a mature artist, turning her back on the carefree dance-pop of her early days. Teenage singer Britney Spears picked up on this specific Madonna era, albeit with a more girl-next-door approach. Her coy mix of innocence and sensuality (and infectious songs) made her a superstar, and helped inspire the teen-pop phenomenon that soon dominated pop music. By the early '00s, Spears was casting about for a more adult image, and remade herself into a vixen, experimented with acting and reality TV, and had two children with the controversial wannabe rap star Kevin Federline. While her personal life pre-empted her musical output for a while, she seemed on the road to artistic recovery after the 2006 birth of her second child. A critically lambasted appearance on the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards and a very public custody battle with Federline worked against her, but her concurrent album release BLACKOUT bought her some credibility with the fickle music press. - HMV Video here: track listing 1.
