March 14, 200916 yr It's released at the end of April I think? Werll, considering when the topic was first started, 6 weeks is soon :heehee:
March 14, 200916 yr Thanks for opening this back up. Its not too early because the single edit has leaked now and promo starts tomorrow on dancing on ice. This single could well peak before its release.
March 14, 200916 yr Mr Aloud thinks it may peak at #11. Far best choice of the remaining songs on OoC though. Ashame they had to fiddle with it for the release though. The album version is epic! I want that one on the tour!
March 14, 200916 yr ah2MT-gwZYM this version is apparently official and was included on the Promo CDS
March 14, 200916 yr This week is an example of what I would call a busy week, with Kelly, Taylor, TI and Lady Gaga breaking into the top10 with their new hit singles, while sometimes you have 2 or 3 weeks in a row with no new hit single, and that can change the peak of a single. But you can have 3 new entries to the top 40 and single sales can still easily be higher than a week where there are 13 new entries to the top 40 nowadays, even in the same time of year. (ignoring that St Trinians song which wasnt really a single) :heehee: That is all :kink:
March 14, 200916 yr You guys are completely over exaggerating, the single mix is BLISS. Open your minds up, the mix was never going to stick to the epic original theme anyway and the mix would benefit the single much more than the original or any other mix! It more upbeat, sassy etc. Its STUNNING until the last few seconds or so, honestly don't get why the GA fans are SO negative about the mix, it cant be THAT bad. 'horrendous?' NO WAY. Where did you hear the single version? Buzzjack GA Forum, Tom! ;o
March 14, 200916 yr ah2MT-gwZYM this version is apparently official and was included on the Promo CDS Now that's how the original should have sounded. It's still far from my favourite GA single but this is MUCH better than the original snoozefest. I'm still not too sure about this one though, maybe unlucky #13.
March 15, 200916 yr Buzzjack GA Forum, Tom! ;o Sorry  I don't go in there much, I am kind of a secret fan :heehee:
March 15, 200916 yr The haters of the edit are generally the haters of GA so nothing to worry about there. The general consensus is that this is an amazing edit and will be a massive hit. :cheer:
March 15, 200916 yr That's not really the 'general consensus'. The general consensus is that it's 'good but not a patch on the original' sort of thing. Anyway...
March 15, 200916 yr I'm not really feeling this. Hate the vocoder effects. It did take me a while to warm to TP and TLK though so I'll probably grow to love it. :P
March 15, 200916 yr But Jark, you know exactly how it works. The majority. probably 95% of the sales of untouchable will be the 6 minute album version because thats where all the early downloads will be. The single edit is just a shortened version to promote on radio. Its really not important. It just puzzles me because a lot of people are saying oh they shortened it, they ruined it. Well try getting radio 1 to promise they will play a 6 minute+ song and maybe then they will decide to release an unedited version. But without a doubt, there are GA haters who are deliberately hating on it.
March 15, 200916 yr I really like the single mix now I've listened to it. The vocoder works very well and I think it's another guarantted top 10. The only question is, why release this four minute radio edit of a 7 minute song when the album is full of brilliant four minute pop songs like Love Is Pain, Revolution In The Head or Rolling Back The Rivers In Time (although they migh have to shorten that title!)
March 15, 200916 yr ^^ because most of them are too samey for GA. This new single is quite dark and different.
