Id imagine The Killers will be fine fpr top 40 has they touring the U.k atm I saw them on Sat they rocked :cheer:
Amazing for Kelly, she really deserves a UK number one. Shame Taylor will peak at #2 though, I just hope something random happens next week to make her #1 although that's looking unlikely. Great for Poker Face too.

The Progidy have shifted 33,000 copies

Great!

Pretty sure 'The Progidy' () can even reach 50k. :D

Hopefully the top 2 won't change by sunday and then, the following week, Taylor will climb to #1.

Taylor won't get to number one now. The Saturdays will be next week and then the other comic releif single will be the week after. If Taylor is still up there come the week after she'll have to get past Lady Gaga.

I think there is a chance Dead & Gone or even Poker Face could be #1 next week if there are poor sales for JCGU.

You never know though, the Terry Wogan Children In Need charity single stalled at #3, I think the Saturdays will get there but not sure about Nessa and Bryn.

If it sold 33k on it's first day, it's obviously going to reach 50k by the end of the week. I'd say past 100k for them by the end of the week.

I think I'm gonna get that album this week!

She'll have a battle on her hands. T.I and Lady Gaga won't let her take it easily. :D

Shame no sign for GA in the albums, I presume?

I'm thrilled on the Top 2 - best Top 2 in AGES!

But Comic Relief have NEVER had a song not reach number 1. Whereas CIN have had them all over the place  There seems to be quite a bit of hype for these two charity singles... They will have the number 1's. Pretty much guaranteed TBH
yeh, plus The Sats have already peaked higher on airplay than WTW did.

Its already been posted. I think its on page 2.

YAH!! So glad Kelly is gonna get her first UK #1, and its great to see Taylor doing so well, its a really good song, and is a shame it probably won't make #1 but getting to #2 is still a fantastic achievement - especially for a country singer in this country

Just saw it on Page 1, I must have scrolled past it the first time. :D

Thanks.

yeah...it's really great to see a country song reach top spots...

and if Love Story can really reach the top...it might probably break a record...XD

but shame that Kelly does a good job...

actually My Life Would Suck Without You suits into UK chart more than a country song can makeXD and that's why Love Story only could chase but not pass it

anyway...My Life Would really suck without both of themXD I love both of them...hope both of their CDs go great in the album chartXD

Technically that is not true but in the last decade or so you are correct:

Release Date / "Title" / Artists / Highest chart position reached

April 1986 "Living Doll" Cliff Richard and the cast of The Young Ones No. 1

December 1987 "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" Mel & Kim (Mel Smith and Kim Wilde) No. 3

February 1989 "Help!" Bananarama & Lanananeeneenoonoo (French and Saunders with Kathy Burke) No. 3

March 1991 "The Stonk" Hale and Pace (backing band includes David Gilmour and Brian May) No. 1

April 1992 "(I Want to Be) Elected" Smear Campaign (Bruce Dickinson, Rowan Atkinson, Angus Deayton) No. 9

February 1993 "Stick It Out" Right Said Fred No. 4

May 1994 "Absolutely Fabulous" Absolutely Fabulous (Pet Shop Boys, Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley) No. 6

March 1995 "Love Can Build a Bridge" Cher, Chrissie Hynde, Neneh Cherry and Eric Clapton No. 1

3 March 1997 "Who Do You Think You Are" Spice Girls No. 1

March 1999 "When the Going Gets Tough" Boyzone No. 1

March 2001 "Uptown Girl" Westlife No. 1

March 2003 "Spirit in the Sky" Gareth Gates and the Kumars No. 1

7 March 2005 "All About You/You've Got a Friend" McFly No. 1

14 March 2005 "Is This the Way to Amarillo" Tony Christie & Peter Kay No. 1

12 March 2007 "Walk This Way" Sugababes vs. Girls Aloud No. 1

19 March 2007 "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" The Proclaimers & Brian Potter & Andy Pipkin No. 1

2 March 2009 "Just Can't Get Enough" The Saturdays TBC

8 March 2009 "Islands in the Stream" Ruth Jones and Rob Brydon featuring Tom Jones and Robin Gibb TBC

However, "Walk This Way" by Sugababes vs. Girls Aloud sold just 51,500 in its first week (with a chart run: {1}-2-14-24-43-69->6 © Polyhex).

If the Saturdays sell as poorly then at the very least Kelly Clarkson will outsell them.
