Oddball Brooklyn-based duo MGMT (aka Management) produced spacey electronic rock that is both engaging and playful. Consisting of singer/multi-instrumentalists Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden, MGMT's debut set ORACULAR SPECTACULAR was produced by David Fridmann (Flaming Lips), although they had originally requested that either 'Prince, Barack Obama, Nigel Godrich and not Sheryl Crow' would be on studio duties. MGMT featured in both the top ten of BBC's Sound of 2008 poll and in Rolling Stones's Ten Artists To Watch 2008 list. - HMV

Discussion Thread Here

I bet they are #39 :P

Applause! :cheer: I really need to get this album! I really love TTP & Kids

Did he just say in the Ukraine?

My thoughts exactly :D

Hello everybody! So glad to finally listen to the UK chart live on Radio One

And the fabulous Elbow track start the show followed by the immortal "Time To Pretend"

Unfortunately the top will be much worse with these plastic American starlets probably ruling the chart :(

Fearne is on a mountain, I hope they gave her a one way ticket

I'd much rather Reggie be up a mountain with a one way ticket, but yes.

Nice to see MGMT return, no new peak which is a shame, but its charted again, so its not bad, I guess.

Killers is out of T40 I guess... :(

The Killers were out of the T40 last week, if I recall correctly.

My thoughts exactly :D

Hi Marcin :cheer:

I think the album is nowhere near to the same standard of the three singles. :(

Why do all MGMT songs re-enter, are any of these songs get a proper re-release date?

You know there is a chance that some of them could die on that mountain, i bet you will feel bad if fearne dies on it.

MGMT - Time To Pretend  Fantastic track!

But what a weird chart run, I hope this time it will peak much higher! :cheer:

I must say I'm surprised this sold enough to get top 40 again.

In front of Elbow as well.

Upside is Elbow will be out next week.

Random chart run for TTP. 0o
